Agree there are issues. I don't know why BMW thinks it is better to be murky rather than transparent about these things. Just tell us, so we can plan on the basis of facts.
Did you get a sunroof? Obviously more correlation than anything at this point, but it seems to be the only sliver of a tangent so far.
No sunroof for me. Manual LBB, no exec pack. Bone stock

Not sure if this helps or not, but manual, LBB, exec, built almost on time (through paint on Friday of the week it was due, completed and through qa Monday) and at port now. Just another data point for those trying to nail down a blanket cause.

I don’t think there are specific delays with the F87.
It is just a few days schedule shirts here and there...

Interesting that the VIN was issued while "Scheduled for production".
I thought it usually gets issued when production starts as things still can change prior to that??

East coast or west? I was at port on the 12th, but don't show in transit yet. Curious if I "just missed the boat" or if they are just backed up like everything else.

Mine is headed to east coast USA. Looks like the ship Graceful Leader. Departed May 14. Headed for Charleston SC?

That's the boat I was hoping to make. I know nothing about ship loading or scheduling, but I couldn't have missed it by more than a day. Congrats! It won't be long now.

Looking at NYK's schedule, they are done with the East Coast for a while, but on the positive side that means you've got 3 different W&W vessels you could be on before the end of the month!

Yep! There's at least one WW heading that way as well. My hope was to have the car in my possession before July 4. It will be close, but still possible.

The Green Bay schedule doesn't have Charleston on its schedule, but that's where it appears to be headed now…

I've got a 2021 M240 (not M2) on order, and have been stuck in QC since 4/19.

It could be the Harman Kardon, though no one seems to know when the hold will end.

Huzzah! Went through to final assembly today and am awaiting carrier assignment. Hope others with delays also see their statuses start to move soon.

I didn't order the sunroof and still stuck in "Quality check". I spoke to the Genius folks on 5/14 and flat-out told me there was a "part delay" related to the chip, and that I should see movement this week. So far...nothing. It is interesting to see similar orders, place at similar times, but with different progress.

3/4/21 - Order received
3/28/21 - Scheduled for production
4/15/21 - Production begins
4/30/21 - Assembly in progress
5/5/21 - Quality check

And there is sits...

It is becoming messy...
More and more delays across all lines.
I am skeptical that M2 production will wrap up by the end of June, as planned.
I am now WK23 production which is the week of June 7...

I just spotted a few extra grey hair on my head!

Bad thing is I sold my M340i, so I am borrowing my wife's car for everything...
She got really pissed when I mentioned the delay...
