How do they compare in the corners or on the track? I like the look of these but the side support does not seem like it would be enough in tight corners.

I sat in SPX in a showroom to test them and they definitely held me in better than the stock seats. Where I needed better support was on the upper sides around the oblique and armpit area. Their bolstering there felt a lot higher up and better.

That said, still not Schroth quickfit compatible, so I didn't go with them.

It works great for me. Much better support than Recaro cs I used to have in my focus rs. It’s not a racing seat but the side support is just great, again for me.

How is the height with the Sparco seats? Is it lower?
Did you have the competition seats before?

See that's my entire problem with aftermarket seats; there is too much side support. I'm not big, but I'm short, to the back bolsters hit me higher than everyone else, so the seat feels like it's forcing my shoulders in instead of holding my mid-section firm.

I was hoping the Sparco seat was less aggressive than the Recaro CS, which is too aggressive for me.

Is the suede light gray or is it black? In the photos it looks light gray but that could just be the lighting. My headliner is the black alcantara so the gray won't match. I suppose I could get them upholstered if they are gray.
