BMW CCA discounts
anyone know of a dealership that gives discounts for CCA members? I'm looking to order some carbon fiber parts, but the dealerships around me don't give a discount or their prices seem to be higher.
thanks I advance |

All the dealers in the Seattle area do. But that probably doesn’t help you.
You may want to post this in your regional forum. |

Almost ANY dealership parts counter will give you some kind of discount just for the asking. Especially in a situation like yours - here's how I would play it. Shop for the best online price for the items you want. Call the parts MANAGER at the local dealership, explain that you were JUST about to place this order online, then decided hey, I'd love to support local business, so would he be interested in matching the pricing? 10/1 they go for it, especially if you present legit pricing and not some crazy made-up numbers below his cost. It's a bluebird deal for the parts guy and helps pump up his numbers, esp if it's a large purchase. Good luck!

I’ve never had an issue with dealerships in the tri-state area honoring the BMWCCA discount on parts and accessories. Currently, I’m going to BMW of Springfield for all my needs (former JMK), you might want to check with your BMWCCA chapter for any recommendation in your area.

To see if you are even getting a discount you need to first know the true BMWNA MSRP for the part(s). Even with a 15% CCA discount at some dealers, you could still be paying well over BMWNA MSRP. Online BMW dealers with discount parts sales show the actual BMWNA MSRP and then their discounted price.
Many (most?) BMW dealerships use a matrix parts pricing algorithm that inflates the BMWNA MSRP to their new "list price." Usually it is a very large percentage inflation at low prices and falls as price increases. For example, it's not uncommon to see 100-300% higher than BMWNA MSRP for low cost parts (0.05 to $2 or so) while something that is say $300 might only be inflated to a new list price of 10-15% higher.

DanG & E90post_user, thanks will check region forum.
KevinC - thanks for the advice. I'll try that out. CSBM5 - that's exactly what I found. I tried 2 local dealers and called the parts department. Some of the pieces were double the price of msrp. So using the CCA discount wouldn't matter. The parts on ShopBMW are direct from BMW and the prices are good. Was hoping to get the CCA discount on that, but it refers you to a local BMW dealership who has inflated prices. I'll talk to the parts manager as KevinC mentioned. Hopefully we can work something out. |

Try bmwdirectparts.com - BMW of Lincoln
Before you buy, check out BMW of Lincoln. Here is their webstore address - https://www.bmwdirectparts.com/ - phone is 402-479-7591 My contact is Ryan.
They offer great online pricing for Original Equipment Parts and often times an additional discount if you call in and identify yourself as a BMW CCA member. Usually prices are cost plus 10%. They will match any low price you may find but just looking up the rear diffuser they were already $40 less than getbmwparts and $20 per side less on the winglets and another $25 less on the M Performance rear CF deck lid spoiler. Might be less if you call in. No tax and fast shipping. Certainly worth a few minutes. |
