As I said, if it doesn't require twisting another quarter or half turn, I'm happy to use it again.

Eventuri v2 plus carbon brace.
For those wondering the Eventuri v2 will work with carbon brace. The only mod needed is turning the rubber grommet upside down that holds the filter housing in place. This gives it just enough downward play to have the carbon brace resting on top. A little doubled sided sticky tape with microfiber cloth stuck to it will prevent any rubbing between top of carbon tube and bottom of carbon brace.

An aside, the M2 GC camber plates are now offered in a very nice blue. |

need some clarifying:
should the sheet metal corner braces in the OG be kept if one is to fit the carbon brace? I saw some members with both and some with only the carbon brace\\\ can anyone chime in? maybe too stiffening with both? |

IMHO this effectively limits CF brace structural contribution so either remove corner braces when fitting the brace or modify them locally at the shared fixing location so as CF brace can be tightened/clamped to flat surface.

Do you happen to have the part numbers for the "rubber covers that go over the strut tops." ? The M2C and M2 share the same part number and we have these but no way these work for us. These are pretty much the only parts we need so any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, odd as these were the stock parts we took off our car and RealOEM shows it's compatible across both the M2 and M2C. Is that right ? We can't seem to fit these on...

So it's a dead cert that original front bracing has to come out to let the carbon bolt onto the landing plate?
Incidentally I haven't seen anyone mention what bolts are used to attach the carbon brace to the landing plate, or are people reusing the ones from stock braces? Getting my parts fitted on 27th this month! My garage are going to cut the stock plastic parts so I'm not buying and cowl or hinge seal or internal covers, saves enough money to get the latest i-step software. |

I'm choosing not to do this wo 1st modfiying the oem braces for the reason I've stated earlier in this thread. I've bought a 2nd used set of corner braces as I plan to remove any profile - to create an even surface - where the CFRP brace will b e clamped by the bolt on top of the corner braces. Original 2 bolts can be re-used up front as IIRC they are the same part no for M2 and M2C etc.

Ah when I read that the CF brace would not be flat I thought you meant in reference to its rearward mounting point on the aluminium brace and it being bent downward in an arc.
I'll see what Darren Wood make of it! |

Would love to know if the TMS CF "boomerang braces" fit with oem CFRP retrofitted to OG M2....
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-5...corner-braces/ Need to wait until March until these are available...

Good find though. These are cheaper, lighter, and stiffer than the RPK braces. And retain easy access to the air filter, unlike the BMW carbon brace. But unsure which is stiffer or stiff enough between the BMW brace and that one. |
