I would have thought if not upgrading the turbo, intercooler upgrade requirements would have at least been reduced from a big race style FMIC. |

so I'm about to pull the trigger on a dorsch stage 2 HPFP and bm3 flex fuel kit so I can run stage 2+ MM and have room to expand when I eventually go big turbo, but i'm in arizona and i'm stuck with ACN91 when I'm not on E.
I emailed BM3 and they said a partnered tuner could change a slot on the map for a ACN91 tune, does anyone have a recommendation of who to talk to? |

I'm curious how quick the Stg 3 E50 beta map would be on your car, as it looks pretty hot and I was making 15whp more with it than Stg 2+ MM, but my TTE460 is too small to keep that power going to redline, whereas you shouldn't have that issue. And, I also have traction issues. I basically spin tires to 70mph, so I might have to try again when I have some of my track tires on and they're nice and warmed up! |

I reached out to Halim in BM3 App to be part of the testing but no reply yet. It will nice to see the what stage 3 E59 beta map feels like. The car runs strong at the top end, better then what I thought, I was running stage 2 E63s and I have better top end. I’m confident you will do better time with you track tires. I’m liking the power , I’m thinking to go bigger turbo( 6466) Last edited by Mr_M//; 05-24-2022 at 01:28 PM.. |

Wow, I should have found and read this thread before basically going FBO + PS2.
Just a few comments from my experience so far: Stage 1 MM and Stage 2MM felt very similar - looking at my logs, I can see that they target around 16-16.5 PSI and timing is around 8 degrees (even with E40+ in the tank). Stage 2 MM Map (PS2): https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=62a0...90c60b5219c05c This is basically the map I ran on track (I have a version with max cool mode on), and the car was quite happy, with my IATs 25 F over ambient the whole time, and oil and coolant never breaking 240 F and 220 F, respectively (it was a nice 75 F day). It wasn't a fast track, however, so I'll have to see when I head out to a track with a bit more room to run it out. As for the Stage 2+ MM E30 map - this map is an entirely different beast, it feels like it's making almost a solid 75-100 WHP over Stage 2 MM (so around 475-500 WHP I would guess). I'm basically holding on for dear life when the turbo (finally) kicks in. Stage 2+ E30 MM: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=62a7...729b049521b434 Unfortunately, it's breaking up a bit on the top end, likely due to my gap being too large at 0.023" - but I figured I might as well upgrade to the B58 coils + nexsys kit so I can run closer to factory gap while not suffering from misfires/blowouts. The kit should arrive hopefully next week and I should be able to get another log. My goal is to run this map on the track, but I sort of have my doubts in regards to coolant/oil temps and the reliability of running 14 degrees and 20 PSI continuously for 20 minutes or more at a time. After getting the issue above resolved, my current plan is to get a custom tune with Stage 2+ E30 (or maybe E50...) as a starting point on map 1, a slightly detuned (less timing and boost) on map 2 for track work, and a low boost/timing 91 ACN map in case I'm not near E85. Not sure exactly what parameters they can adjust from map to map, but I did hear it was rather limited, so I'll probably need to ask to see if this is possible. |

Based on other dyno’s I’ve seen, you’re probably putting down 500whp on E30 and 515whp on E50, so definitely quick! I’m interested in hearing if the Nexsys setup helps, and very interested in how temps do on track. I’ll get some 95F track days in the coming months, and will be logging the Stg 2 & 2+ MM’s to see how things hold up! In the meantime, my rear street tire budget has very gladly increased. |

next, why not se the boost by gear power reduction? I would try to make the car as linear as possible, and reduce the low end torque a bit to make it more manageable.

I'll definitely update once I get the new coils. I just recently looked at new track tire prices... ouch haha. I'll need to be increasing my budget on that as well. Quote:
Torque is actually extremely manageable since the boost comes on so late, I only really spin in top of 1st and maybe 2nd, so that's kind of fun I don't do many 0-60 pulls (usually I'm already rolling) so that hasn't been too much of an issue for me! |

I just received the B58 Coils Kit not long ago and got them installed yesterday. I kept the plug gap at 0.023" (which I had on my N55 coils) for now to reduce the number of variables, but I may try to increase the gap now that I have much more powerful coils.
Some images of the kit installed: View post on imgur.com Log of the run right after installation: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=62c8...0b43079f4be448 (Interesting in the rolling 1st gear pull the turbo doesn't get spooled up till redline lol, but 2nd was spinning the wheels once the boost hit 20 PSI @ around 5k RPM) I didn't experience any stuttering on the top end, but my E content is slightly lower than what it was when I did experience it (E42 vs E46), so to completely rule it out I'll need to find some time to test again. Overall, the car feels pretty good except a few minor things in the logs. |

And I always thought 14.5 degrees of timing was already pretty aggressive! Are you saying you expected more timing? And yeah, upping the gap is next on the list next time I have the plugs out. |

I’m new here. I’ve seen many of your posts and tried sending you a message here, but the app’s acting funny. I needed your insight. I have an ‘18 m2 fbo with a 6 speed. I have the dorch stage 2 hpfp and I reflashed it to the stage 2+ e30 tune. For some reason, after I added 5 gallons of e85 and the rest 93 one of my injectors went bad. Cyl 5. I guess it got stuck open. The ethanol I tested was 85%. I don’t know if I need to add more e85? I’ve seen your posts where you go for e45-e47 for the e30 tune and you reported that it was performing so well. Is that right? Right now I have e38 in it. I did replace my 97506 plugs just last week for reassurance. The thing is I had them gapped at .23, and just today I gapped them to .22. Reason being is because it felt like it was misfiring at start up and then I could hear it misfiring when I would take off in 1st gear or go in reverse. It was obvious. The idle seemed to smooth out at .22, but it definitely feels lethargic and doesn’t pull as hard as it did on .23. Just weird how the idle smoothed out at .22… another thing to note is that I have the precision raceworks ignition coils, too. I do have that pr setting on, on the bm3 app. Any idea what’s wrong? I did read that f87source had you go up to .26 gap? Last edited by Leaveatrail86; 07-16-2022 at 07:12 PM.. |

Are you fbo? E85? And why are they terrible? How did you come to this conclusion? |
