100%

The size, styling, and ID8 just don't do it for me

I just want round gauges , real needles and sporty looking interior not a flat panel backwards trapezoid . That era has passed and it's sad cause there's no real reason for it but I just can't get into the new digital screens .

You can come up on the boardwalk and meet someone like that in a split second and it can turn into a serious relationship

Holy Mother of popcorn.
Get me a drink and chair, I'm going in the comments.

I'm predicting very very salty popcorn. Fair play this making front page!

It’s the natural order of things. G87 is horrible until it’s in the driveway, then it’s the GOAT

This is my biggest bone to pick with this car. How does this happen?

I started another thread about people dismissing another cars greatness do to their own biases. I love my car and still might also even love the new M2. I bet its going to be wicked. I can't wait to see it in the flesh.

Spot on. This happens every single time.

First, G80 was ugly, now there is a 1 year wait if you want one.

Now, G87 is going to be "too heavy" and I guarantee you that someone going from a M2C into a G87 M2 wont be able to tell the difference.

‘Oh look a shiny new thing - everyone should get it because it’s new’ - pretty much every car review.

My rationale is this:

I can't go back in time but I can always buy new in the future. For the same reason, I was considering a M240i for daily but already miss the boat on getting one with old-school dashboard so that's a regret already. For that singular reason alone, already makes me happy that I have a F87.

The ZF in my x3M is VERY slow. I've driven the g80 and it is noticeably slower than my e92 and f80 DCT. Let's not pretend they are as responsive and mechanical like a proper DCT. Because they aren't and take away from the soul of the car.

I agree, the ZF8 is a great transmission for every day driving. It doesn't compare to a DCT for engagement when pushed in the Twisties. BMW doesn't care because it's good enough for most people.
