Update: After splicing the brake sensor leads together, and performing the reset procedur in the video below, the warning messages are gone.
—— I have a damaged pad wear sensor (front). Question is: will a new sensor eliminate brake system warnings, or will I need to have a shop reset the system electronically after swapping in this new sensor? Background: I had the dealer flush my brakes with fresh SRF this week, and they also installed stainless lines. All is great, except the tech damaged a pad wear sensor. I soldered the broken wires together as recommended in an old F87 thread, but still get the warning light and startup notification on the infotainment screen. |

Switching the pad sensor may work alone, if it doesn't you can reset the brake warning yourself:
