I just received the M performance coilovers and I want to confirm whether they currently have the compression and rebound settings as specified by BMW.

Do I understand it correctly that in order to set the compression/rebound that I have to turn the wheels to the maximum (hardest) + position and from there dial it 9 clicks back, if I want to have the rebound "9 clicks open"?

TIA!

No rose joints- urban myth - lots of vloggers have had the opportunity to show the alleged rose joints but don't, to keep BMW PR m/c onside

I just got this suspension and dialed it to BMW specifications. 9 open rebound, 12 in rear, and 6 open compression all around.

I'm having a very slight rocking when coming to a stop that I don't recall with the stock suspension. I'm not sure if I'm just sensitive to it because the suspension is new. Was curious if others have had similar experiences.

Same, tightened up the rear by 2 clicks and fixed it!

I’ll give it a try, thanks!

It’s getting aligned tomorrow and I’m going to ask them to re-tighten everything at ride height as well.

The re-indexing of the suspension actually had more of a positive impact than i thought! Still going to adjust the rebound a bit to make it a bit tighter, but overall it worked out.

Installation

Hello-

Did anyone have to use "rubber mount/shock absorber" to install their M performance coilovers? (please see attached photo) PN 33525A2DBC3

Attachment 2696618

My dealer says it's needed but I've been researching and checking and it seems it's not.

Can someone help me with this?
Thanks!

Well, there is some evidence to suggest the rear lower bushes that come with the kit are prone to failure. I think Bee Pee replaced his with the KW parts (apologies if I've recalled this wrong), while BMW replaced mine under warranty - twice.

I want to raise the front by ~5mm (0.2”) since the height is currently at 590mm. Can I do without doing a realignment?
