For those that have this mount, did it come with the steel pad or is that a separate purchase? About to order, thanks!

Happy to report that even using a cheapy amazon iphone case with a magnetic pop grip, the mount has not let me down even over rough roads. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for clean oem look. I only wish there was an actual 12v socket in the passenger well so i could neatly route power cable.

Quick follow up on this phone mount. Been using about 3 months and it is by far, the best phone mount I've ever had. No affiliation with the company, just passing on my praise of a great product. The phone is 100% secure and when the phone isn't being used, the mount blends right in with the interior and looks factory. Highly recommended if you don't have one yet!

I've been using one in my Cayenne for years. Want one for our E63 wagon but definitely will buy one for the M2C. More expensive than others but it's a final solution done once. In our wagon, I have a Amazon backup as I seem to have to replace the mount yearly.

Quick bump in support of this product. I installed in a LCI OG M2. Fits like a glove, the phone doesn't budge an inch. FYI it comes with 2 steel stickie plates (round and rectangular). I will attend a track day at Sonoma soon and will see if I can run the phone on the mount to run the BMW app.
Previously I would use the ProClip mounts in other cars and I was nervous about switching from a cradle to a magnet, but this hasn't disappointed.
