With the FI-R, I think you can run on 255/275 IIRC on stock height. If you look at Detailersdomain threads, I think he used those sizes but had rubbing issues or very close with 4 people in the car.

BBS FI-R or 763M?
I just bought FI-Rs. They arrive on Friday. I'm so excited!
I managed to pick up a set with cup2s for $7k. IMO, it's about what you want or are willing to settle for. I don't think you can beat the FI-R in performance. Maybe the HRE LW. If you don't care about unsprung weight, get whatever you think looks best and fits best. if you want the BBS wheels, and they are too expensive... save up a bit and get them. |

Tied up!
I chose 763s because I bought them and I want to keep my car all BMW. But those FI-Rs look amazing! My rims are at the shop getting ceramic coated. Looking forward to installing them. I would be down for a CS over my current M2 if they had more color options, but I guess thats also what makes the CS so exclusive.

The Ttitan 7 T-S5 are popular on the F80/2 forum and similar in design to the FI-R wheels. They are forged and cost $2,740.00 for a set. Website shows they're not in stock, but might be worth making a call if you want to save a few $k.

Wow . . . those Titans look really nice. One thing I cannot appreciate in your photo is just how much concavity they have to the center? ///AVM |

I picked up my set for $6,500 shipped brand new, I already had an extra set of OEM tires and TPMS sensors from a set of 437m wheels. When I wear this set down I will go with a set of 255/275 Pilot Sport 4S tires.

The point I was trying to make was that you can be patient, save up, and maybe keep an eye out and you'll find them for a good price. |

I looked into these wheels, a few years ago, when I saw a forum member was selling a set for $8,500, used. I just assumed that he maybe hit his head and lost his mind or was looking for a sucker to hook but my research pointed out that they do indeed list new, without tires, for a little under $10,000 or so.. They are also pretty rare, so if you're able to find some from a retailer, I doubt they'll be willing to go much lower than $8,000 for a set, without tires.. BBS, Akrapovic, & Dinan are a few of the companies out there that almost never budge on their original MSRP, so I wouldn't exactly be looking for coupons to clip, for any BBS wheels. Neither would I exactly call them a bargain, relative to this vehicle. Spending 1/6th of a vehicle's cost on wheels, goes against my infinite wisdom but that's just me.. |

When I installed the FI-R it felt like I had given the car a 50whp bump. The weight difference from the 788 is substantial enough to feel the car quicker. Compared to the 763M its still about 4lbs less per corner but the difference wont be as shocking than comparing to 788M.
I was on the fence same way, I disregarded all other options because of weight and was debating 763M or FI-R and ultimately decided to do the BBS because it was the wheel I wanted since I had my old LBB M2. And because we are in the middle of a Pandemic.. if I'm going to die, I'm going out with some fire wheels

BBS had a sale last year around Black Friday and the f8x sizes of the FI-Rs were part of the sale.

$6500 is a fire sale that will not generate them any profit. I have a contact at BBS and they explained the scenario to me, the company that had that special was just probably looking to move stock they had sitting around.

I was quoted 6800 at best when I was considering it. Ended up going with E88s partially because they were cheaper and partially because I like them better lol
