Question Climate control fan indicator line not functioning?

My passenger side (right side) fan indicator display on the digital dash display seems to be missing the "head" indication. The driver side (left side) seems to cycle through all 3 digital line indicators just fine and shows head, chest, and legs. Does the right side only indicate for the rear vents which only hit chest and legs? The BMW manual shows 3 lines for the right passenger side digital indicator, but my cycle only goes through 2 lines of indication. Seems like the "head" upper line is broken/non-functioning.

Does your M2C have 3 climate control fan lines for both driver side and passenger side indicating which head, chest, legs is being fan controlled?

Seems like I might have to get the digital display replaced within the first 2 weeks of ownership. Kind of a bummer. I'm hoping everyone else has the same indication and I don't have to have the dash torn apart already.

I had a 19 and now a 21. Both were/are same way. I guess the driver controls the head. I was wondering same thing when I first saw it in the 19

It is NOT BROKEN. The upper line on the driver's side represents "windows". The passenger button does not have control over this zone. Your owners manual explains this...

Thanks, I just misunderstood the manual, its confusing because the manual shows a picture with ALL 3 lines for the right side, even though it doesn't have it. They should have two different pictures, 1 for drivers side indications and 1 for passenger side indications. Showing the picture with 3 indications leaves the text open for misinterpretation.

Very glad its normal. Thank you very much for the clarification!

Correct, as designed. The 3 lines represent defroster vents, dash vents, and floor vents respectively. Only the driver (main) side can control the defroster vents.
