Ali Express M Performance Rear Wing & 2 Series Bootlid

Hi guys.

Caught the bug and want to buy an M Performance rear wing for the boot, however the price for a genuine item is eye watering

Has anybody bought a copy from Ali Express? If so, what is the quality/fitment like?

Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! £52.79 50%OFF | F80 F82 F87 M2 M3 M4 M Performance Style Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler For Bmw m2 m3 m4 car styling
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMPyXco

2nd question:

If I do buy a rear wing. I don't want to bolt / drill through the OEM boot lid, so would like to buy a spare one that I can paint and attach the wing to.

Are standard 2 series coupe boots the same as the M2 bootlids?

Has anybody done this? Standard bootlid with replica wing?

Please post your photos below if so

Many thanks in advance

2 series boot is the same as m2.

As far as that cheap wing I would recommend against. For that price I doubt its real carbon and even if it is the clear will look like crap in a few years (if it doesnt already on arrival)

Take a look at the m performance wing's bracket kit, it is actually really extensive and the aliexpress kit is literally a screw and washer pinching the wing to the trunk lid. Aka the thin sheet metal of the trunk is all that is going to be holding the wing on, so it kind of is a bit sketchy especially with all of that stress being concentrated on a tiny area of the washer and screw head. The 3m that you should be applying to the bottom of the wing will probably help, but it is such a small surface area you should be careful.

+1 to above.
I've seen this on a friend's car and he ended up with stress fractures in the sheet metal.
