I live in New England, don't see to many M models here. So perhaps I can get MSRP?? Also when can I place an order?

I haven't purchased a brand new BMW from my local dealer but is it as simple as emailing or calling the branch manager to show interest in M2 to purchase it, can I waltz in and make a configuration and boom done? Do I need to be a certain status to purchase a brand new M car? Thanks guys, would love to be a part of the 2 series gang and add it to the family.

Just walk into the dealer and let the sales guy know you want to purchase a new car. You dont need anything fancy, or any special status, or any amount of previous BMW's owned; this isnt Ferrari level exclusive. You might not be able to actually 'build' the car until its in the system, but you can definitely put down a deposit or have them write your name down as an interested buyer.

Yes there are... And they as well as those that pay over MSRP complete the bell curve of pricing.

Those at the very bottom are far and few in between.

Your location is Germany... How is your pricing structure? Do you get to haggle like we do here?

Im US and have the M2 locked for ED invoice... I actually have multiple allocations, like I had with the 1M. Ill pass them out again to others once my friends decide what they want to do.

I don't think a single new car is sold at MSRP here unless the buyer is stupid enough to not ask for a discount. I have bought all my new cars with 8-20% discount.

Our prices are a little bit higher than yours to start with but no regular cars are sold at or over MSRP.

Our dealers are also expecting limited availability of the M2 in the beginning so no difference there.

People are going to flip their ish if it turns out to be quite a bit more than $51k.

Considering the thread title is still there, deleting that first post doesn't exactly do much....

+1

This whole thread should probably be deleted. No point in keeping misinformation on the board.

BMWNA realizing $51k price isn't justified.

I mean a Camaro with 450+ HP is going for $37k. Gesh, BMW needs to really think about its price fo the M2.

Guessing with the timing being similar to 1M, it will be in Detroit. Sucks. It should at least be here in LA in November, but that's not a big show like NAIAS.
