It's just a seller (presumably a dealer somewhere) that provides you with fsc files you put on a usb and it unlocks CarPlay forever. Only have to do the procedure once.

There's a number of sellers and I've already bought the files, just waiting for the actual car to arrive lol.

Ya mine worked fine after uninstalling my version to the latest I think 4.43.4 or newer

However is only shows on part of them screen and would like it larger, anyone know how to do this?

That's not something you can change. The iPhone is projected at that screen ratio and thankfully iDrive gives us back the right side for alternate content. Some brands just make it blank.

Yes.

You go to the phone and click on CarPlay and you can do it from there.

Look on the second screen...

If you go to CarPlay in your iPhone, then click on your cars VIN when you see it.

From there you can move Waze to the first screen and then it will be the same in your car.

Hard Reset your iPhone.

Update the Waze App.

That should do it.

Waze is out for IOS 12 and works with Carplay. I confirmed that it works.

You need the very latest version of Waze 4.4 or something or it wont work

Apple maps gets a bad rap. It's vastly improved now and if you look at comparisons it's really not much if any worse than Google Maps and it has the best UI and audio directions. If you like to drive above the speed limits Waze is hard to beat for the speed trap and accident updates.

So, when using Waze thorugh Carplay, I am not getting the warnings through the speakers, just a popup. I use Waze only for the warnings and rarely for Navigation, but always got the warnings/notifcations when using my iPhone through the speakers.

Any ideas of what I am doing wrong not to get the warnings through the speakers using Waze in Carplay? Many thanks. Really love having it intergrated in Carplay, especially if I can get the sound to work. Thanks!
