Expect LOTS of high quality photos of this car in the future when time permits.

You'll notice the image of the fortune cookie fortune... the way I obtained my M2C was unconventional. I never got an allocation. For months i've just been rotationally calling dealers for potentially cancelled allocations to secure one. I got this foturne the SAME week the allocation I got was canceled from the original build buyer. Call it fate/destiny, but this fortune is getting framed with a picture of the car for sure. This opportunity was literally the last follow up I was doing before I completely gave up. (I had secured a C8 allocation about a week prior as a back up car but that won't be built until Q4 of 2022 or Q1 of 2023. I may cancel that order now.

Awesome. What is meant to be will be. I was anticipating buying an M2 in late 2020, but a series of events led to me seriously needing to buy a car asap in late 2019 (which later turned out that it was not needed ASAP). And just that day my perfect spec M2C rolled off the truck at my local dealer and I snagged it. If I had waited a year as originally planned, COVID would have messed those plans up!!

I haven't had it happen to me personally (my windows aren't tinted) I just remember seeing a bunch of threads on here about blown amps, often after they got their windows tinted, so I thought "that seems like a really easily preventable thing that I ought to warn people about."

I'd assume just being aware of it on the tinter's part would be enough to prevent any liquids from collecting in the wrong place.

Great story! A hunt like that after an even longer wait makes it that much more rewarding. Enjoy!!!
