I am sure the situation will be different in the US... The GT4 and Spyder are definitely the bargain here if you can get one.
why would anyone buy a M2CS instead of a GT4 at that price point...
BMW plays the leasing game. The GT4 lease is horrible, and despite a similar MSRP, the M2CS should lease slightly better making it cheaper to own in the short term.

Porsche plays the buying game. Their leases are horrible and the real world residual is better than the M2's. If you are buying, the GT4 will be cheaper to own in the long run because of resale.

I guess its cool that the M2 is getting the "CS" treatment, but I'm fine with just a regular ol' M2 Competition.

Did BMW keep the tradition of having the CF roof in 1x1 CF and then all the other visible CF in 2x2?

Why no fold down seats?? Simplified climate control... come on this isn’t a stripped race car. It still weighs near 3600 lbs, taking away features to make it seem edgy is stupid.

I mean I get why you are annoyed, but clearly you aren't BMWs intended customer for this car. And at 2200 worldwide units, I don't think they give a shit.

Was thinking the same. Like what's the point of removing all that? Seems gimmicky, as if to give the impression of weight savings. Impression only. Smh

That's what M2 owners said about the M2C.

That hood is a huge selling point IMHO. the fact that the MPE is included is another one. What I haven't seen yet is if the torque will go up to 442 like the M3 CS's did and a retuned suspension. Then you have something more than just a car with M parts slapped on it.

Nothing a nice tune and some coil overs wouldn't fix.

That hood is on my short list no doubt about it.

Just please don't tell my wife lol.

Lol if it’s $80k or higher then makes the choice easy to get a 718 GT4 or Spyder

$75k would make it a semi-decent deal

I have all carbon parts on my M2C and it looks just as good. The M2 CS did not have the Carbon side fender nor did it have the Carbon fins at the rear wheels. The hood is very very nice!!
Currently i don’t know if it’s worth it upgrading from my M2C in hockenheim silver to the M2CS in misano blue. Owning the M2C for around 3 months
Also why are so many people talking about a CSL? Is there any info this might come?
It seems very strange that they would produce this car and not include those great looking carbon side fenders. At least people will finally be able to get an M2 with Merino leather.
