Backseat removal help

How do I remove this top clip? I understand how the bottom clip works, but have no idea how to get the top one loose.

Now how do I remove the driver's seat back? It has the center pin that goes through the center hinge, which is too tight in there to pull out. Maybe time for a rubber mallet.

RealOEM suggests a couple of bolts per side for the back rest (although they appear to be under the leather), or a couple of plastic pins in the lower edge for the seat back cover.
