You know what guys? Let's spend another 3 hours talking about mirrors (like I said in the other thread, do you guys go to cars and coffee and talk about mirrors?). But ignore the fact that this car could potentially be 3300 lbs according to the article.
Holy hell, priorities...

These are the real photos... Just deal with it.
This car will be a steering marvel! Check what they took from the M4. Driving a M2 on mountain roads, I am looking forward to it. It will be blast... Tune it a bit and you will keep up with stock GT3 and M4s on the Ring. MR |

Regarding the engine...
What's in a name? The call it an N55...but it gets a new block, rotating assembly, etc. I mean, that's a new engine by anyone's definition...just as the S55 was. Not comparing the two, but saying "no M engine" isn't really fair...X4 aside.

I'd be happy with 425 out of it. With the hard low-end delivery of these things, driveability in the lower gears becomes an issue anyway.

In this leaked photo, it quotes 0 - 62 MPH Where as you are quoting the M235i xdrive's time for 0 - 60 MPH At that speed, those last 2 mph take about .2 seconds. Last edited by Adem1534; 10-13-2015 at 08:55 AM.. |

As you get to RWD cars approaching 400 HP, it's quite hard to reduce 0-60 by much. Very traction limited events.
You guys should be more focused on 1/4 trap speeds, 0-100, etc. to give a truer indication of acceleration, power/weight.

That was a 6 pack and we will have to wait for the official pics from BMW.It does look like the rear bumper will have the reflectors in the same location as the X5M and X6M,if these are real pics. This is the only design detail I don't like about the car.I just have to see more pics before I make a final decision on the design of the rear bumper.
Now I will probably have to figure out the best way to send a 6 pack of beer from Toronto to South Carolina. |

Just 400 units for the UK? Looks like the M2 is limited in production as well. I can't order one before Nov/Dec 2016 so I hope this will still work out for me...
Guys! Please be aware that he M2 has no M mirrors, so I would be pleased if you could move on and buy another car so I'll still get mine by the end of '16. THANKS!

I'd leave the reflectors alone to be honest. Hell I'd even leave the chrome kidneys on too! I much prefer these to the M3/4 personally, very nice touch.
