Wheels Up

Hit country roads, no one for miles (I don't behave like a jackass when non cattle is around), and emerged from a dip doing 95+ mph. One of those where your stomach sinks to your balls, you know what I mean. Anyway, all four wheels defied our planet's gravity at a slight longitudinal angle. It landed and caught. One of those oh shit nanoseconds turned to sheer laughter moments. Opened this beast up through Texas country roads for about 2 hours that day.

God Damn do we own amazing vehicles. What a great time to be alive!

Was messing around on back roads late one night with a buddy when I was with my previous M2 and was pushing around 130mph approaching an intersection, accelerator fully pinned. Got to the intersection hitting around 140 and didn't realize there was a slight elevation in the center of the intersection and took off the ground for about 1.5 seconds. Definitely an oh shit moment but was so impressed at how the car behaved upon landing; super composed and no iffy movement when it landed. My buddy told me (as he was behind me before the intersection) that I caught at least 2 feet of air

As long as you keep the wheel pointed in the direction you need to go ... no problems. Because Race Car!

Exactly, but not quite 1 1/2 seconds for me. It was the hit back to Earth patch and nano jarring where I hit the euphoric roof. I spent an hour on those back roads hauling serious ass. I maxed out at 130-140-ish, which on a track is the norm, BUT in this environment, let's just say the handling of the car justified every penny spent. BMW is back!!! So damn amazing

Again, no cattle were hurt during this exercise. .

It was the slight angle when landing and immediate adjustment by the beast's Gandalf like suspension tech that prompted the post. The 1969 Dodge Challenger could have done a better job though (Dukes of Hazzard reference, Friday Nights before Love Boat).
