I’m curious too! I have the same spec as you and looking for a set of those 763m wheels as well!

Ah, fair point! I actually ordered it with the silver wheels for that reason, and also to pay homage to my old E36 328i:

For what it's worth, I still have the stock wheels and will be using them on my snow tires for winter!

I thought about going gold, but I don't like the particular gold that the 763M's come in.

I used to have a Nissan S14 and had the blacked out look for a while which I liked, so I thought I'd go for that:

Also worth noting, is that the M2C's brake caliper is silver, so there actually is kind of some nice contrast with the black wheels.

In the future I might consider powder coating the 763M's (if I was younger I'd have probably already done it but I like the stealth-y look). Would consider doing something like "Takata Green" or a GT3RS-y Orange, but for now I think I'll keep it OEM.

Definitely BSM was the winner for me as well. Got mine 3 weeks ago.
Orange stitching
Black rims
Manual
Last car was a 2018 M3 Competition, DCT...
I already feel more connected to the M2C.

Do you feel like the manual is the main reason?

It was for me coming from a DCT F80 ZCP. I loved that car and the looks and the dimensions, but the ride was super rough on the 20s and I got bored pretty quickly due to the lack of manual transmission (didn't feel as glorious as I was hoping and I wasn't connected to it as much as I was my wife's non-ZCP DCT F80 but that's was more because we did ED in that car).

The manual transmission on my M2C I believe has a big impact on my connection to the car and how I feel about this car. I think I would not like it as much/be bored to death in the DCT version (though DCT is faster).

What I have noticed is that if it has a manual, that is all I am doing/paying attention to and it reminds me it's a machine that I am in control of. With a DCT I get bored while driving and start focusing on this little nit or that little nit that I don't like about the car bc I have nothing to do when I am in it (focus taken away from the actual driving experience).

Not 100% sure I wouldn't have gotten rid of the F80 if it was a manual, because I do love the M2C wheelbase and dynamics, but maybe I would have held onto it longer or liked it a bit more.

Pretty much the reason that I've ordered an M2

I had an M3 DCT (E93) in April last year. The engine was glorious but for some reason I didn't really gel with it. I think that was down to a DCT box plus a longer wheelbase. My keeper is a Z3M Coupe.

Don't get me wrong, I think the DCT box is a marvel of modern engineering - it's exceptional. But it does come at the price of connection to the car - as in I AM IN CONTROL.

The wheelbase thing is that I like a darty car.

I parted that out for a Mini Challenge 210, but quickly realised I like a RWD car

I'm really excited for my M2 to come - BSM, Manual, big brakes (standard in the UK) and sunroof. Paired with the 763M gold wheels it will be lovely

Dude, please post pics of your M Coupe

I love that car! I wish it was the right car for me when it came out or even years later, but alas, it was not meant to be.

I have the MCoupe marked as a missed impulse/opportunity in my life. These cars still spark something inside me.

Beautiful in Imola Red! Thanks

It's the Frozen Gold finish, the gold's tone changes depending on light as well as the amount of dirt on the wheels. The shot is in the morning and next day after a wash.

Went out for a super last minute drive to take some photos and JUST when I'm about to arrive at my destination (a covered location for the shoot) it starts raining. But this kinda turned out:

Brace yourselves, photo dump incoming.... If you're keen to see more, I been posting to my Instagram page from vehicle order, pick-up and ownership journey. https://www.instagram.com/oomtwo/

My month old, manual M2 Competition in BSM. Piece by piece it's coming together. In the way of aesthetics, it’s pretty close to how it will stay. Just some small tweaks/changes to come.

The coilover heights require some attention as it has some rake going on. The rear coilovers are set to their end of threaded travel, so either a small height increase at front OR removal of the height adjust, spring perch on the rear coilover is required.

Ah cool I never knew that about the frozen gold wheels. They look really nice!

Cheers, I'm happy with how it's coming together.

It's riding on M Performance Suspension kit (Coilovers). At the height pictured, that's the lowest the rears can go. To sit any lower, the height adjustable spring perch would need to be removed.

Correct on the carbon parts front. The front lip, side skirts and rear spoiler are as supplied by Hans Autotek, the rear diffuser is genuine M Performance. Overall, I'm stoked with the fit and finish of the Hans parts.

The parts as fitted and suppliers are listed within my Insta account for those interested - https://www.instagram.com/oomtwo/

Did you drive the car much before the coilovers? I'm curious if you could share your thoughts on them so far!
