Higher quality rear license plate bracket?

Does anyone make a nice metal or carbon fiber rear license plate bracket? The plastic factory one is kind of crappy. I just remove my temp plate and the screws are already stripped.

I had a nice machined one on my Focus RS that was aftermarket and I’m looking for something similar.

rush1967 how much force are you using to turn those screws? You don't have to turn it again if it already locks.

The two holes in the car are a standard size and distance apart. Buy the Focus RS one and use it.

These all look similar to the BMW one on my cars. So I don't think they would be an improvement.

Got a link to the some details on the IND one?

I emailed the company that makes the Focus RS one to see if who would make a BMW version.

Oh! I believe those brackets lay against the paint right? If so then I would definitely avoid any hard materials.

I put two rubber washers between the bracket on my Focus RS (the Little CNC Shop one). I would do the same on the BMW.

I’ve been emailing Chris to ask him about making one for the BMW.

Why would he need to make one specific for BMW? All license plate brackets have the same two holes to attach to the car and two or four holes to attach the plate.

Show me a link to a high quality license plate bracket (not plastic) - either metal or carbon fiber.

The Little CNC Shop bracket for the Ford Focus RS is machined aluminum and is much nicer than the plastic bracket that Ford supplies. I was suprised that BMW also uses a cheap plastic bracket mounted with self tapping screws.

I am looking for something better. Why is that a crime? Isn't that what enthusiasts do???

In my experience the OEM rear license bracket has always been problematic. Usually the screws get rusted and it's impossible to take them off. I've since started to put a little anti-seize on the screw before tightening it down. They stay rust free and come off as easy as the day you put them on.
