Precisely. Although, having about 5" and needing to hold the door when I get in/out so I don't ding/scrape the paint is quite annoying. I think I should move to Texas where I can get a house with a three car garage for the same price as my apartment.

Currently my plan as well, but I'm doing it ass backwards and getting the cars before the house

Someone on M4 forums just bought a house with room for 12 cars to be parked inside. Needless to say, I'm a little jealous

Oh me too... I've had 3 or 4 cars In the driveway the last decade with a 2 car garage.

Now that there are 3 BMWs, and not a Ford or Honda that can stay outside ... It's time to move

I live in apartment complex (for multiple reasons), so only the E92 is parked in a garage. I've never really had a problem with parking the E36 outside. However, I came out to this on Sunday, which prompted me to get another bay

I've got a free rental until the whole Takata airbag ordeal blows over, so now I can really spend the time to detail/fix/maintain both M3's. Plus with the F80 hopefully being ordered soon, I need at least 2.

The problem for me with a house with a 3 car garage is that it's usually attached to a house that is too big for me. I really have no need for anything more than 2000 sq ft.

Ha no doubt. And finding homes like that ain't easy. I am moving from 1700 (to small) to 3400 square feet .. It's probably way too big !).

Decided that if I was gonna sacrifice , it would be in having too much square footage - ha!

2 car garage to detached 3 car garage
Has a swimming pool -dunno if that's a positive
Lot size going from .2 to .6 acre
*Actually Closer to work*

Included in the 3400 feet of the home is a bonus room that used to be a garage .... Which I have a feeling it will be converted back some day ... Making a potential 4 or 5 car garage home ...

Mine is 3 cars. One side is double deep. Been there on the looking for a bigger house. I had 4 BMWs last year and sold one because 1 car outside in the Midwest winters didn't work for me. My other option was a bigger house but didn't want that. Actually looking to downsize the house but finding a smaller one with 3 car garage is difficult.

I've seen a couple in my area that 1 bay is 2 deep. Are those usually wide enough to fit in other things apart from 3 cars (ie tools and some storage)? The ones I looked at looked like it would be a pretty tight squeeze

I love it! The garage is a slow process. Not high on my priorities, but I should complete it this year

I can't wait to just have a garage period. 8 more days :P

I'm not sure my truck will fit since it's most likely too tall, but maybe that's a good thing for the car to have all the space

Lol...it's crazy how those little people can cause so much clutter in a garage. I am almost to the embarrassing stage. Need to rearrange things a bit this summer and actually finish the garage (drywall and paint). Me and my dad built my house and I moved in before it was finished...that was in 2008! Hahaha!

No kids here, but I had a giant clutter in the single bay garage that I rent. I finally decided enough was enough because it was a pain in the ass to work on the cars in there. Spent about 8 hours going to home depot and buying storage shelves, throwing away so much junk and just organizing and cleaning the garage.

It was surprisingly therapeutic and the car is so much nicer to work in now.

I can only imagine. Hopefully I will be able to do that this summer, just have to find 8 hrs of uninterrupted time to get it done.

Any one has a suggestion for a 4 posts lift?
I am looking at a BendPak unit for my brother's new garage
notes:
- we need the possibility to lift over his current BMW X5 or even lift the X5 as required
- usage is storage only
