Yes WE all recognise the front bumper. WE recognise the side grills. WE know it has double M slat grills but we can't see them. WE know it drives and performs amazingly!

BUT to a casual observer and to the whole inter web before actual driving reviews are released its all based on looks ......and she looks pretty standard ish M235 to me here. Sorry.

Car needs some driving reviews PDQ.
To be fair, all my friends who aren't into cars couldn't tell the difference between and M3/4 and their m sport models, so it doesn't mean much.

Have the same experience. I think it's how M car starts as a regular series car.
It's only crazy aggressive if you know what you're looking at, unlike lets say a lambo or ferrari.

For normal people, yea they can't tell.

Maybe it's the picture quality, but the lines are a bit hidden and it looks more like a sleeper in AW.

Looks totally bland in white. And those wheels don't help either. As much as I liked the car at the beginning, I think I'm going to need to see one in person before I order (if I still order). The more I look at pics of it, no matter the color, the more I agree that the front is weird and that this doesn't feel like an 'M' car.

Car looks flat out ugly. Proportions are all kinds of screwed up.

Bet it will be a blast to drive though...

Contrary to what many are saying, I actually like the white. True, theses pics aren't optimal but I sometimes prefer the low key look. I am still stuck between AW and LBB (granted I still pursue the M2 after pricing is released) and if I choose to be subtle AW would fit nicely. AW will also look better with carbon bits and what not. I also do not think the 18s will look bad on this car. Some guys are fitting 295 and 305 tires on them in the M3/4 forums and with a drop/ spacers it may actually look great on the M2.

Back end looks really busy. Never understood the need for the odd lines on the trunk. Won't stop me from getting one, but just seems it could be better.

I don't have a dog in the fight here, but my first reaction was disappointment. It looks so......mundane. You can spot an m3 a mile away, and the same goes for the 1m. I'm not so sure about this one. Every time I see my friends white 1m I think, "holy crap this thing is aggressive!" It's the rear fender flares I surmise which gives the 1m such presence. I can't tell really if this is going to have anywhere near the same stance....

Looks boring in white but then again, I don't like white cars in general.

I will definitely be a buyer in 2017 when my lease is up, but gotta say, all photos (the good and the bad) have tempered any enthusiasm I had about trying to break my lease.

my m-sport 6-speed MG 228i continues to wow me in the looks department and on the road. I really think the stripper manual 228 m-sport is still the best bang for the buck...

They are most likely winter wheel/tire combo. You are required to run this during certain time periods in some countries.

The m4 rims could make a difference though. These ones make it seem like just a normal 2 series.

Man that front bumper looks terrible. Looks like an upside down 1m bumper! Certain angles don't do the m2 justice

lolol wow that looks bad but hey this is a poor representation. Definitely needs more contrast. The white mirrors, white roof, busy white bumpers, practically white wheels... all just look

No shit, Sherlock.
Of course they are winter wheels, it even says so in the thread title.
