Static. If it were aired out, it'd be even lower... I guess.

Well if it's on the internet, then it must be true. So I completely agree about the F80.

Personally, when we are talking about fender flares, then the M3 > M2 > M4

You'd get into big troubles if you said the F82 looks at least as good as the F82. One of the many rules of M2Post.

You mean F87 looks as good as the F82?
I'd get a personal ask kicking from the M2 mafia

You guys are all nuts!!

M2 > M4 (but only by a little) > M3 > 1M

Seriously, get your eyes checked because my opinion clearly is the right opinion

In all seriousness, I don't love the sedan look. Period. Yes, it has big fender flares but I don't like the high roof line, the narrow trunk or the stubby tail lights. I'm a coupe lover through and through. I like the M2 because it has the lines of a coupe but the more aggressive fenders of the M3. The 1M looks a little too pieced together for me.

That's the thing with subjective stuff... every single person will have a different view and believe that it is the "correct" opinion

I'm so stupid. Can't even write.

I'm a 1Addict so naturally the 1 M is the best looking, with F80 being on par with M2 and M4 slightly behind. The roof line of the 4er in general is too, for the lack of better word, flat. I liked older BMW coupes that had that sedan-ish look to them.

Looked up the dimensions of F87 vs E92(coupe) vs E46 Ms.

E46 M3 Length: 176.8"
F87 M2 Length: 176.2"
E92 M3 Length: 181.7"

E46 M3 Width: 70.1"
F87 M2 Width: 73"
E92 M3 Width: 71"

E46 M3 Height: 56."
F87 M2 Height: 55.5"
E92 M3 Height: 56.1"

So basically the M2 has the same proportions as the e46 M3 except it's a little shorter (barely), a little wider, and a little lower. And it's wider and lower than the e92 M3!! Fuck me I don't know what to do.

Maybe it's waiting to be shipped to Detroit.
Isn't the US-market M2 going to be officially unveiled at the NAIAS in January?

Yea but that's a test car (notice the camo on the roundels). Press cars would come straight from factory fresh and would not just be parked outside for these M2 clowns to take pictures of it all day

LOL just busting your balls, it was a great video.

Nice E46 also. you really see the size resemblance in the side by side.
My thought exactly. It's crazy how big these cars have gotten over the past 15 years.

Fuck the numbers.
Get (or keep) the car you want.

But, just for the record, I think the front and rear track widths are interesting:

F87 M2
F: 62.2
R: 63.0

F80/80 M3/4
F: 62.1
R: 63.1

The M2 and M3/4 front and rear track widths are just 0.1" different.
And the M2 has a 4.7" shorter wheel base. Will be interesting to compare handling.

The new M2 has really grown on me. My current personal preferred order is F87 M2 > F82 M4 > F80 M3 > E82 1M, with the E46 M3 as my all time favorite BMW. Of course I love my little E82 135i, and if I have it my way, will never part with it. Fits me like a glove.

The numbers are all I have to use for comparison when I don't have all 3 cars sitting in front of me!!

Plus my FAVORITE thing about M cars is the wide tracks.......and being that everyone is referencing the fact that the e46 M3 was the last "true" M car because of its size......well I think it bears mentioning that the M2 dimensions are almost identical to the e46M, only with even more "bulldog".

To me that's a game changer and may have single-handidly swayed me from an M3/M4 to waiting for an M2 in the spring.

What's funny is that I thought you were joking, hence the ban icon.

Now that I know you're serious, let me say that maybe you should keep negative opinions to yourself. Because that M3 is the tits lol.

I don't know why everyone thinks it's "so stupid" or so "funny".

"Lol guys, they can't fool me, that's a BMW! Why would they do that, so stupid, everyone can tell it's a BMW!"

It's because of legal technicalities.

IMO those wheels don't work and the stretched tires look like they are just begging for mercy. Also it's way too slammed, but otherwise it's a nice e46.
