Even though they're just renders, it kind of reminds me of a Kia, or maybe even the new WRX. Would love to see it with an M-Sport sort front bumper to make it look a bit more agressive.

Can't really put a specific hand on what I don't like but something is way off here! It looks way too much like a VW and way too little like a BMW !

UKL (according to someone cannot remember who on the topic of the next 2 series) can be configured FWD, 4WD or RWD.

It would be good if BMW offered some of the top models, say an M135i, in Sedan format.

Adding insult to injury is the incorporation of the Hofmeister Kink to a FWD BMW.

Previously a beautiful, subtle, and timeless piece of design detail owing to the RWD principles of all BMWs, the Kink is now nothing more than a fashion item slapped onto a shell with Mini Cooper underpinnings to justify a premium price.

If I wanted a FWD car, I'd buy a Toyota.

It's probably the FWD proportions of having longer front overhangs than the distance from the center of the wheel to the front door.

Yes. The long front overhang, but that awful position of the A-pillar being set so far forward is what really gives away the FWD mechanicals. The windshield base sits much further forward in comparison to "real" BMWs and takes away the traditional long hood proportion.

It brings to mind Dodge and their extreme "cab forward" FWD cars back in the early '90s.
