I am 5'11", have moonroof in my M2C, I feel i still have 2-3" of head room.
I dont track with this car though.
As for the future re-sale, i dont think it matters that much at all....

I think the future resale value proposition of a slick top occurs when the car is 10 years old and the moon roof is just another electro-mechanical part that will break.
