Head-Up-Screen, North America?
Before some says I'm talking about the Heads up display, no. I'm talking about the Heads Up Screen from BMW, Theres a retrofit kit available but so far I've only seen them in use by overseas owners, or rather people who live on countries that use KM/H as the standard of sped measurements, Canada including. Which is weird considering there's an option to have it display good old freedom per hour on there.
Does anyone in the states have one installed on their M2? Or any other BMW here? I would like to fit one on my incoming M2 If possible Last edited by Yiruna; 08-29-2017 at 09:53 AM.. |

That looks really interesting and awesome. I don't remember seeing that accessory when I was browsing through their online catalog, is it a dealer specific thing? I might have to ask around here, see if they do the install in at my dealer too.

Here's a link to a German video that shows the HUD in action:

I am not sure, I've only seen this thing installed overseas and then Canada for some reason, actually mostly placed that use KM/H as the measurement system

Who knows? I would think any good dealer mechanic could follow the installation instructions, but we don't even know if it's U.S. F87 compatible. The supplier to Amazon for the HUS is Euroactive in Pennsylvania. You could contact them and ask about compatibility and installation.
https://euroactiveparts.com/product/...-retrofit-kit/ BTW, it looks like it doesn't use the M2's navigation system; you need a Bluetooth connection to a Garmin app on your smart phone. |

Me or the HUS?
That's what I don't like about it, plus the price. It just sits on top of the dash, probably rattling around. You can get an aftermarket HUS that does pretty much the same thing for under $200, but it seems like it would be more of a distraction than useful to me. |

And the thing about it not being compliant with F87, this video shows an M2 with it on. |

Looks like you are correct. The second video shows the mount. The first vid with the BMW specialist appears that the mount is missing.

I was considering this but the video & pictures that i saw made it like it was an afterthought. With the new mount, it actually looks like it should be there.
Like someone above posted, if BimmerMasterPieces took those mounts and wrapped them in the alcanatara with blue stitching...I'd be all over this since I already have the dash cover |
