For me, I think this is the best way to go.
I tried doing the TPMS reset when heading out and it didn't work for me.
I plan to run my track wheels w/o TPMS sensors and be done with the headache.

...I will miss having that data display though

yes it can be done. i run track wheels and tires and ripped out the TPMS. You just need to code out the error its not a big issue. car runs fine

What steering/throttle mapping does your 2018 default to with no TPMS? Comfort steering and comfort throttle? Assume it is running with no traction control 100% of the time and nothing changes if you try and through comfort, sport, etc

That seems right. Recently, I dropped to 27 on the out lap and it put the car into comfort (started with DSC Off) but when I came into hot pits that lap, psi was up to 28 and I was able to simply put the car back to DSC Off and get back on my merry way. Also found that the display reads 1'ish psi lower that what I was measuring with my physical gauge.
