What's up guys I'm back.

Settled in the new home and my sons now old enough I can have more than 2 hours to work on these. Finally got the clear and frosted plexiglass and color logo demo units done.

Since it was a while since I made them .. I did screw up the only piece of frosted plexiglass I had. I made the holes 2 inches instead of 1 inch.

However you can see both of them below the clear is complete the frosted had to be shown side by side as I screwed up the holes. Looking for some interest and if I should have a round two of these. I did learn that some people who have them in the garage the adhesive tape that I used didn't hold up. So I will be adding more adhesive to the back of the new revisions.

Finally placed the order for 18"x48"x 1/4" clear and frosted plexiglass for demo units!

Orders will start after I get these demo units completed so all can see what combo they will want.

Options:
V1 Raw aluminum sign on frosted or clear
V2 Colored metal signs with frosted or clear
Any combo of the above

Prices will be higher then the original group buy but will still be reasonable for the quality.

175-250 plus shipping.

Needed to increase price as I had to put up a couple bucks for shipping for the group buy for the ppl on west coast. It was pricy to ship but will work with ppl to split or lower cost of actual sign to get it to you.

Got the first couple 2.0 aluminum pieces back. These are going to be demos. With the feedback I'm going to adhere one on clear plexiglass and one on frosted plexiglass. Once I get them all setup I'll share and start to take orders/deposits.

Still not sure as to the cost. Last time I barely made my money back due to shipping costs. Sending to west cost was 75-100$. Again not looking to make money but group but as I have a great time putting them together. I'll get a better idea after I ship the first two demos off. Might also auction them off to get me the capital to buy the rest of the material. Keep eye out!

For the 2.0 version the /// will be power coated the M colors and the 'M' will be glossy black. It will be adhered to a frosted plexiglass with glossy black stand offs. Pics to come when I can!

The metal cut out arrived early!! To the people who send deposit. Please check emails and/or send rest of payment. Please again add bimmerpost ID so I can keep track. The frist 5 are completed and will be shipped out tmr. Rest should be out this weekend.

Drilled holes in the rest of the plexiglass in prep of the metal arriving Wednesday 12/4. Will start to reach out as I get them completed to the people who didnt put a full deposit down. Will go in order as they came in! Should have the first 5-6 out by this weekend!

Drilled 6 holes in the first plexiglass for standoffs. Will use it as a template for the rest of them. Turned out great. It takes a bit to drill through it as I don't want it to crack. I needed to get a special acrylic/plexiglass drill bit.

Plexiglass has arrived..only waiting for the metal cut outs. Once I get the first couple made Ill reach out to the people who put a small deposit down to hold theirs to get rest of payment.

Some standoffs arrived today. 3m high strength acrylic adhesive ETA 11/23.

Plexiglass ordered ETA to arrive next week 11/25-11/29. Metal ordered should be next week or first week December.

I have just approved the final drawings to have the metal laser cut or water jet out to make the metal ///M logo! I also have the clear plexiglass and standoffs and 3m acrylic adhesive on order.

I put an order to make a total of 20 signs. The interest so far is only driven by the m2 forum. Iv yet to post in the m3/m4 forum. So I'm sure more will be made as I broaden the market to them.

Again not trying to make money but to have a group buy type price for these.

Anyone 100% interested that want to lock in one of the first 20 signs I'll be taking deposits or full 160$. If shipping ends up being more as it will vary person to person I'll work with them to get it to them or refund the deposit given to me if it's way to much to ship.

Awesome total of 5 people so far.

If shipping is crazy for final product..what I'll do is bundle the links for the products to put it together yourself and connect you with the guy who does the steel cut outs.

To weed out the people who think they want it VS think it's cool and may want it...I may ask for a 5-10$ deposit. But let's see how much more interest it's build during the production of mine.

Yes that was the plan. I'd bulk buy to minimize costs for everyone and put them together.

So far 6, 7 including myself!

Waiting on the draw up to approve then will start the bulk buying of items needed to complete the final product.
