Absolutely loving the new apex vs-5rs. Honestly I think these rims look better than the 763m

What are your thoughts?

Those look amazing! I know when I still had my M2c, I REALLY wanted to get the window trim from a 230i with the brushed aluminum and have wheels like this. I thought it'd look amazing!

The lightest & most durable rim Apex has ever made. I completely agree. In the brushed clear, I take them over the BMW wheels or those BBS or HRE wheels.

I'm sure that sounds crazy to some, but this looks as good as a rim needs to look. I'm not sure about the differences in weight, but I know these are incredibly light & durable & also a fraction of the cost of those other high end wheels.

Well done! It's perfect

The only aspect of the 763m that some prefer is the flangeless edge. The flange on Apex wheels makes them appear slightly smaller then they actually are. Regardless, these are so aggressive, classy, and lightweight. Looks amazing.

These look stunning, I think that's the finish I'm going to go with as well for my LBB when it's time to switch it up. Car looks great!

Love these and I am biased. Brushed clear looks so good on those M2 colors!

How much do these weigh compared to the 763Ms I'm debating refinishing my golds to black or getting these in black and selling my golds.

The VS5 RS in the stock BMW fitment are 18.? at the front and 19.? at the rear. The 763M is about F 20.75 and rear 21.8 lbs. I think it's a weight savings worth mentioning. However, the original M2C 788M is quite heavier at F 24.7 and rear 26.2. So in my case I saved 27lbs if unsprung weight with my wheel tire setup. These Apex wheels are great looking and light. IMHO they're a good value at even a higher price point.

I agree, in some ways, but in others (like the old-school lip) not so much.

I think the finish is a bit bright for my taste in normal lighting. I'd choose a bit darker finish for my LBB.

Looks good!

Couldn’t you have gone with 255/35 and 275/35 tires?

I don’t think the look would change much if at all going with these size.

I went that route with PS4S and with the closer to stock wheel offsets and stock widths. Notably beefier but I like that look and ride quality.

those are anthracite?

bigger tires do look great!

i'm not a fan of black rims, so i'd definitely go with either brushed clear or anthracite. would really like to see a titanium or silver that's in between the clear and anthracite.

ive been going round and round on a second set of wheels, and i think these VS-5RS are my current favorites.

Wow, simply wow!!! Great lighting and focus, really makes these shine out, great match w/ sunset orange IMO!!

I am LUSTING over 763M like rims, primarily to give my knuckles a break from cleaning the stock 788s, but man, do these look money!!

So, seems to me these Apex wheels have a more aggressive offset vs the crowd favorite Richland Forged GT4?

RF-GT4 offsets/sizes for the M2C:

Rear - 19"x10.5" ET+44
Front - 19"x9.5" ET+25

About 1-2 months back, I lowered my beast w/ Bilstein B16 and would prefer to not use spacers. I reckon putting these Apex on would equate to having ~ 10mm spacer up front and 5mm in the rear with stock 788s? Tyres are the stock MPSSs

PS my drop heights are whacked right now (indy shop mistake) as I don't have that 5 delta split (current = 595F, 610/R), but plan on having the shop adjust them to something 600F/605R…would help not scrape anything, and bump up tyre size by 1

Yep anthracite. To my eyes they look great on HS. I had black wheels on a silver 228i years ago and that looked great for that car at that time. Seems like there are a LOT of black wheels on all sorts of vehicles now, mostly from manufacturers.

Here is mine on 265/35-19 and 285/35-19. The roads in Raleigh are trash, there are so many speedbumps and crazy entrances. I will lower the car by 5mm at some point.

I'm surprised at how well that 285/35 PS4S fits, it's a SUPER skinny tire!

More pix when you get a chance!
