Not a Fastest in Straight Line

But M2 is a heck of a track car undeniably. RS3 is not even close. Hat off to Tesla Model 3 btw.

Is it just me or is the Tesla just plain ugly? I'm sorry, that front end is hideous!

Tesla 3 is ugly inside and out BUT for the money it's probably the best all around car you can buy.

Years ago, people said the same thing about BMW designs. Btw, Tesla Model 3 front resembles Porsche like 80-90%. Whether you like it or not, Tesla is the future and BMW won't be able catch up in that segment. Give yourself a chance to test drive one especially with the Ludicrous Mode. The dynamic, fun to drive, technology and especially torque will put any ICE car to shame.
Btw, I owned 5 BMWs in the last 14 years ranging from X5 to 325!

Tesla Model 3 is an absolutely fantastic car, and will even drive itself.

The BMW M2 is a drivers car, and if you can't drive well, you could probably end up wrecking it.

My issue with styling of 3 is lack of any sort of grill looking element. Model S looks better because it has a grill like front design. The other 2 cars have aggressive front ends, whereas the 3 looks covered with duct tape and ready for lipstick.

Is it? It's the first car I have ever priced out that almost doubles in price the moment you select the performance version. Starts at $43k CDN and as soon as I click on the performance version its $75k and if you actually want the autonomous features it goes up to $93k. You can buy a lot of great all around cars for that price that don't have the build quality of a Dodge Dart.

Then get the dual motor long range battery version.. It'll scorch our M2s at a similar price.

The Model 3 is ugly indeed, but I also wouldn't go as far as saying Tesla is the future. BEV is the future for sure, but I'll wait to purchase a full electric vehicle from a company that isn't surrounded by drama.

It's not great but better than the average sedan on the market.

I think you can blame the media for that faux pas.

To be fair, there is always someone saying "this car is ugly" etc and it doesn't matter what car it is or how it looks.. And there are always some people saying that it's good looking etc etc...

There is simply a humongous amount of people in the world with different opinions.. The only reasonable thing to do is follow your heart and go for what you feel is right for you..

If I could swing it, I would get a Tesla; there is certain appeal of not having to full gas or being able to start pre-conditioning the AC in the vehicle, via a phone APP, before you even get remotely close the vehicle - to name a few pros.

Currently, for my money, ICE is more efficient, as ironic as that sounds. But an EV is certainly in my future, one way or the other.

Chris Harris take on the Model S P100D:

Awaiting the Roadster with "rocket thruster" option which enables a claimed 1.9s 0-60 time.

Head seatbelts may become mandatory in the near future.

Tesla created the domino effect.

They're on their 13th year.

Can I get a Tesla with a 6spd manual and a decent sounding exhaust? If so, I will go test drive one now.

Best all around washing machine on wheels...no sound...no emotion at all - no thanks. Wouldn't get out of bed if that was in the driveway - and I am not kidding on that front.

You might have to plug it in...for 10 or 12 hours...will that be a problem?

This electric stuff might take hold in the future, but for now, it's nowhere as convenient, reusable, or reliable as an ICE setup.

How's that nationwide Tesla recharging (as you take a nap) network coming? that shit isn't persuasive to the average American driver (thankfully)

I beg to differ.. When you get slammed back into your seat right off the line, its very emotional.

But that's where the appeal ends. No tire squeel, no sideways drifting, no on power over steer. Outside of straight line performance there is no fun.
