Tons of pebbles stuck to the inside of my wheels
Was washing my car and noticed a shit load of small rocks stuck to the inside of the wheel barrels. Wheel brush was useless. Super hard to get them off using hands/microfiber towel. Resorted to using a pressure washer and even that didn't work too well on some of them. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips or tricks that don't involve removing the wheels from the car?

Hate to say this..but best bet is remove the wheels, and spend some hand time in releasing the probable oil? on chat that has produced the problem. Had same issue on our Z4, after a backroad trip. Took wheels off, and when clean, waxed inside barrels very well, and that has helped a lot since then. It was work, but with all you have done, it's time to do the hard thing.

More than likely tar build up. Pull the wheels, clean then and use a tar remover. Then seal them or have your local detail professional coat the inside and outside for you.
