They all ship within euro region only. What was it you were looking for?

To get a member to send it will most likely kill the deal though as it will be shipping both to the other member and then from that person to you...

I prefer the two-tone approach. See and feel it IRL and you'll notice that it's better than you'd expect. It's not literally 'half-baked', but a 2 in 1, also making maintenance easier.

So if I got the chance between full leather, full alcantara or two-tone (leather/Alcantara), I'd take the latter. And that's also what I did.

For the US forum fellows out there: it's scheduled to be available in the US too sooner or later (1H93 cars = US spec M2):

As also forum fellow gthal righteously pointed out, the diameter is virtually the same, but it's more chunky, meaty than the stock M2 steering wheel. More stuff to grab for both your hands.

Though it's all pretty subjective, in my book it does not only look better than the stock M2 steering wheel (without being overkill for this car), but it also feels better and is slightly more functional. Thumbs feel a little more 'locked in' in the thumb-rests and rest comfortably on the soft Alcantara 'pussy' fabric. Less slippery/cold than full leather. I also like the flatter bottom design, facilitating to eventually relax both hands whilst cruising, by 'grabbing' the bottom almost horizontally (instead of slightly inclined with the stock M2 wheel). Just in case you're wondering: I'm still talking about the steering wheel here.

More on aesthetics: I like the addition of some Alcantara and open-pore CF trim, as those materials already feature elsewhere inside the interior. It further matches/completes the car. Furthermore, when outside the car and peeking through any window, the blue 12h marker is pretty 'in your face' - can't escape the eye.

It's the steering wheel used in the M2 MotoGP Safety Car, with the exception of the cover (gold-colored trim + Alcantara). See below.

M2 (M-DCT) interior with M Performance steering wheel (not my picture):

As always wonderful story! Ordering in the coming months... If I do it all in one go now, it is so boring.

M2 MP Pro steering wheel versus (what's left of) my M2 stock steering wheel (the stripped parts have been transferred to the MP Pro steering wheel).

The alcantara part of the MP Pro steering wheel is chunkier, meatier than the stock steering wheel, especially the part right above the thumbrests. Difficult to show on a picture, but undeniable when you hold both steering wheels in your hands.

This thread is very bad for me!

I think that half Alcantara wheel is stunning, and much prefer to have it that way, rather than full Alcantara.

Just a word of caution, price-wise: the MP Pro steering wheel ain't a bargain if you know that it's supplied 'naked' (bareback metal frame with leather/alcantara fabric all around): the middle/inner part of the steering wheel is just bare metal: zero electronics, no buttons, no airbag, no airbag cover with BMW logo, no vertical inlay cover, no plastic frame. Nada.

You got to transfer all that jazz from your stock M2 steering wheel to the MP Pro steering wheel.

And the MP open-pore CF inlay cover is not included either - it's sold separately.

So that's why they don't offer port install haha. Probably takes them longer to install the wheel than the suspension

was told there's 2 in the country but its not available (maybe its spoken for) and nothing on the inlay.

Can you just snap in the CF inlay to a stock wheel if you so choose?

My dealer installed it and I wasn't around. When I collected my car the technician told me that it was no biggie. The stuff strips quite easily and the wiring seems to be merely a click-out / click-in. But, hey, those guys are used to doing this kind of stuff.

But do avoid detonating the airbag in your face, though.

And also avoid this:

How is it? I heard that alcantara gets really nasty after a couple of years. are there ways to prevent this besides wearing gloves.

Clean it with a damp micro fibre cloth every once in awhile and it stays looking like new. It's pretty easy actually. The only issue is if you let it go for months on end and/or are a sweaty, messy beast.

The unfortunate reason I can't have alcantara wheels...palms are way too sweaty. It's nothing a pair of driving gloves can't fix, but kind of annoying day to day haha

From your pic, thickness looks very similar between stock and MP wheel. Is it just the angle?

Yes... there is a noticeable difference with MP wheel being thicker.
