Engine support bar
Hey guys!
Just curious, what engine support bar did you guys use to support the m2's engine and where did you place it? The reason why I ask is because I noticed that one of the corner brace brackets sits on the frame and gets in the way of placing the support bar in an optimal position.

M2guru I believe we were talking awhile back about engine mounts and such, and I was wondering what engine support bar did you use and where did you place it?

Sorry I don’t have any better pics but I used the harbor freight support bar when I was swapping turbos between my buddy’s car and mine. I believe part of the support slightly sat on the mount for the black L braces but it didn’t affect anything and was still extremely stable. I’ll see if I can find any better pics but rest assured, the harbor freight support will work just fine on the F87

Well unfortunately the engine support bar I bought doesn't have the split on the legs, that's why it won't work for me... Well that sucks haha, I gotta return it and buy another one. BTW what's the gap between the feet things?

Yeah def go get the harbor freight one. It’s cheap and held up the motor for days at a time while I was waiting on turbo parts

I don't have access to harbor freight in Canada haha, and the Princess auto one I bought doesn't have the gap so it doesn't clear the brace bracket thing... So I gotta go buy one from Amazon.

No idea on the feet gap but I can measure it for you in a couple days when I’m back in LA

I used the harbor freight one too which won’t help you much. But I did fabricate/assemble pieces to get the mount higher and level out out. This has worked well for me multiple times.

The gap between the rubber feet on the HF brace is 90mm x 45mm.
