Full Dinan

I will risk being mocked for being wimpy and going Dinan to let you know that the car was transformed by a complete Dinan suspension install. Massive increase in steering feel ( road texture is obvious) and feels solid as a rock. Very agile and the rubbery feel is gone. The car responds very quickly to bumps and the response is over very quickly.Much more pleasant ride while being a bit firmer.

Sam at Elite Motor ports in Lodi NJ took a keen interest in getting it just right with many settings changed and road tested until he was satisfied. Highly recommended.

Liked the car before. Couldn't say it was quite BETTER than my Dinan modded e90 M3 but now I LOVE the car and it is clearly better. Got the intake (feels like less lag but hard to be sure) and heat exchanger so ready for Stage 3 tune when it's out. Sam says expect 125+.

Completely agree. Tested and proven and it shows. When you say full suspension do you have the coilovers, sway bars, front bushings and rear links?

I have coilovers and sways. Going to get the bushings and links later this year. Just with what I have plus the carbon strut retrofit the car is amazing. Do you have pics of your setup? Alignment settings and/or ride height?

Thanks

Yes to those components. About to take it out of town so will post photos on return and after it has time to settle. Will get alignment specs then too. It scrapes easier than my lowered e90 so do not want it lower but to me the front looks slightly too high vs the rear (but the weight should make it settle more?).

Sam was pretty in to it. He adjusted sways and drop a number of times a he road tested it. It came out pretty awesome.

Forgot best part Hawk carbon pads- incredible improvement in feel and way less dust.

Got OZ racing wheels. $500 each and 4.5 pounds less could not financially justify the higher priced stuff and feel the look pulls the car together. Also could not get rid of tires with 1200 miles for PS4's.

Sam says that other than flash the best upgrade will be IF someone makes 2 pice rotors. ~$2,000 and TEN lbs less per wheel.

Hawk carbon pads - OP have you used them in the rain yet? Any squealing? How's the initial braking compared to OEM?

It has 2 piece rotors already - they're just not rebuildable...

Everyone saying its overpriced for what you get. There is a reason for that people! It is called R&D unlike marketing companies that copy off other manufactures and have never gone through more than one version of their product (Armytrix, FI, and many others that will fade into the distance in a few years).

It's their own warranty.

I've commented on the performance mods being overpriced for what you get, but it has more to do with the fact that you just can't get a ton of extra power out of the N55 compared to other motors.

I'm very happy with my Dinan suspension for the street.

Mine is slightly higher in the front as well but complies with the Dinan recommended bump stop clearances. I have measurements of my gap but with stock wheels. If you have stock wheel measurements we could compare. Looking forward to seeing some pics and some alignment values and a street/track review of how it drives!

I'm getting mine installed May 16. (Dinan HAS) + having the car corner balanced and custom alignment and with Vorshlag camber plates.

Can't wait !!

We have super bad roads around here, should feel a big difference.

The spring rates appear to be higher than stock though (see post below), so are you talking Michael Jackson circa 1987 "Bad" or just bumpy???

I can second that. I brought my M235 to Sam for Dinan springs, exhaust, and fabspeed downpipe. Great shop but pricey (you get what you pay for). I have a M2C on the way and any big mods, if I decide to modify it, will be done by Elite Motors.

Have not used in rain - can that be an issue? I was not warned re that!
Rare light squeal- not bothersome.
Better bite and nice progression. Better feel (for me).
