Heads up - New Eibach Pro Street Multi Coilover Kit for M2

Hello,

I am currently choosing a suspension for my car and have been lurking on the forum for a while to help me decide.

My dealer just told me of this new kit which, unless mistaken, was not yet mentioned on this forum. It is coming out in March. Eibach coilover system with Sachs dampers.

https://eibach-protime.de/it-s-pro-time.html

Very excited about this as, in my opinon, Eibach makes the most comfortable springs. I would have bought their spring kit if I could find a suitable shock for it like Bilstein B8.

By the way, Sachs also makes a coilover kit for the M2 but it has the same reference as the M3 and M4 - which I reckon is the same as stock suspension anyway ?

I messaged Eibach regarding this as it's now May and there's no evidence (yet) of a kit for the M2.

Yup I had ordered the kit, was supposed to be here end of April, then it got delayed until July August. I guess they need to fine tune it.
Got Ohlins R/T instead.

Nice! Please let us know how it turns out. I'm interested in the Ohlins kit as well, but with the softer 70/140 N-mm springs. Did you go with standard?

Ohlins now offers the kit with either 190 and 160 at the rear. After speaking directly with them, they recommended keeping the standard 90 at the front. I went with the 160 rear. Ride quality is good.

I have been rather underwhelmed so far however because the steering is absolutely ruined since the install. Heavy, vague when going straight, bad turn-in. I suspect something was not done correctly during the installation or the alignment.

Sounds like a lot of toe in at the front since you have said bad turn in. The less toe the more twitchy. I would start with a four wheel alignment at a reputable shop and see from there

Thank you. I will do that next week and take it from there.
