Awron no longer active

Guys, just to let you know Awron is no longer active.

Displays are not for sale anymore, but if you still are looking for one make sure to reach out to Obermeier Motorsport near Munich, Germany.

They told me they have a whole bunch of them on stock. Just in case you are looking for one.

No funds to develop a new product and parts for the old display became too expensive.

Awron is restructuring and returning in early 2020 as 2 separate entities.

I still have displays in stock for people on the US side.

Awron Gmbh who made the display is out of action. Both owners split up and the one that made the displays the last 1.5 years has stopped doing so earlier this year.

Awron Automotive is the new company and they are working on new solutions. In the mean time, AK motion's display is the only available option on the market other than stock Awron displays which are available across the globe, but there is (as far as I know) no support for those anymore.

It is waiting for a new display from Awron Automotive.

Hmmm. looks like the anti glare coating button is static. Might be causing the glitch to order one.

They shipped mine within a couple days and it arrived soon after that here on the East Coast US. All in it was less than $400 US...

U could call or email them to see if its still available....

It does not need software to change the language. You can change the language by entering the configuration page - please find a youtube video how to enter. In configuration you can also change the readings (for example PSI vs BAR, etc).

Did you get the display from another car? Be aware it doesn't show the right figures and data! An Awron display has a lock on board, as soon as you swap it between cars the information on the display is incorrect.

It is a feature they installed to make sure people would come back to the dealer or headquarters to see where the display were going and to make money on the lock.

You need to find an authorized dealer that can connect a laptop to the USB cable and reset your Awron display with a piece of software!

I know this post is aging, but if someone knows the owner. Could we at least get them to release the software so it can be open sourced? Maybe even the cad models so if we wanted to build one we could? If they are out of business this shouldn't be asking too much.
