Wrapped over the black in what, carbon...? I am confused by your question. Or did you just mean wrapped over the black in ANYTHING, and have it look OEM?

It won't be perfect because the center piece is lined with aluminum painted trim and matte black vent trim that's not detachable. Meaning you cannot wrap around the edges. Best you can do is cut along the edge. Which may be sufficient enough.

Oh yeah, in that case I'll just have live with their stupid interior choice.

One time rant...
* Piano black is a dumb interior choice, it scratches when you look at it.
* Chrome is just as stupid. When the sun shines inside the cabin it reflects on chrome like a mirror into your eyes.

Fortunately BMW is fairly sensible about chrome. However the satin silver can be bad as well around the auto shifters.

Mustang interiors are loaded with chrome .

If you can find a shop that knows what they're doing, then it'll be damn close to perfect. I wrapped many many interior pieces when I worked for a shop, and I would remove them entirely, but those were mainly cheaper cars. For the more expensive ones, we would wrap it with the panels and all in place. For a cut and tuck job, unless your eyeball was on the panel, you couldn't tell it was wrapped. A black brushed aluminum vinyl would look FANTASTIC on the interior of the M2.

As a side note, the black brushed aluminum wrap is what I will be doing the pieces on my fiance's Mazda with, since it is riddled with piano black, and tons of scratches already.

I guess we can all hope you decide to keep going on your own car so we can see how it looks!

You should also ask over in the M240i forum. They love M2 parts.
