In Canberra I am still getting told $103 for a non LCI (!!!) demo that's done 4000km and $107 which includes 10% eofy discount for a new with metallic, DCT, seat warmer, lumbar, LCI and sunroof.
I thought this was just typical Canberra BS price so called Sydney North Shore BMW and they are also around ~$100k.
I would be all over the M2 for that, that's the 240i price I am getting quoted by both.
Wish the dealers would just be upfront, really spoils the buying experience
Thanks, any help appreciated.

I got the same email, it drove me towards looking at an M2 as it was out of my price. Was 81k for a Pure and 86k for M2, brand new, but was a 17 plate clearance deal tied to being with my employer. It was a specific event clearance and unlikely to be repeated, maybe when Comp comes out and they need to clear N55 models.

OK thanks.... I heard there was some Telstra/Qantas specific thing. Makes me feel a little bit better that the ACT dealer is quoting me $107k!

That was the one. I didn't buy one in the end, the dealer I went to in Melbourne were useless. Lies and bad information. Avoid South Yarra based on my experience.

I might look again when the Comp comes out, I don't want to spend that sort of cash, but might look at a clear out N55.

Was back in March. A lot of requirements, 17 plate and delivered by end of March and you had to work for specific companies.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the recent BMW AU offer (think it was $8.5k off rrp) but when I looked at the t&c it was for 2017 plated cars only, so obviously only stock or in transit cars. Someone like me who wants a manual with some options is out, same with the M3 deal. So while I was able to negotiate a bit of discount I'm comfortable with my purchase and really not put off with the upcoming Comp either (the Fabspeed sportscat reduces the power difference by half & really improves the already great exhaust sound). I'm happy to concede the minor loss in straight line acceleration to keep the better sound and (imo) looks front & rear

Still looking at paying over 100k for brand new over here in WA, only 2 dealerships so big discounts are hard to come by.

So you get everything except the upgraded breaks. And also metallic is a cost option

Hmmm so if you get all that I'm guessing $120-$130k drive away?

Oxymoron were u feed the same line as "We just got an email from BMW AU stating we need all customer pre order specs in today when the comms only went out an hour ago?" Seemed a little unusual for me unless dealers are trying to secure spots for specs.

With my chat

No idea on M performance parts as yet
Unable to option just black seats
Harmon Kardon standard
Speed limit info standard
No 437 wheel option
No idea on tyres supplied
No pricing as yet

Do you mean you paid $90k for the M2 and they have you $7,400 for your trade in, or that you paid $82,600 for the M2 and some other amount for your trade, which they are presumably making money on so were able to lower the M2 price?

Don't suppose you have a screenshot of the Pure pricing as well?

I heard that back in March they had a LOT of M2 stock, if they still do I'd imagine getting a similar price might still be possible.

Are the Pure's all LCI cars as well? Someone told me only the standard M2 was. I want a manual and I'm not fussed about the things missing from the Pure so would get that as long as it has the LCI changes...

Does any one else think Bmw played this whole thing wrong and fucked m2 owners.Look i understand we don't buy cars for their resale value but i cant help think of this as a stab in the back on top of the standard depreciation curve for a M car.
The prices I have seen on car sales recently make this a amazing buy for anyone reading who does not have a M ! its a proper M experience at least from the driving point of view !

I've seen end of model discounting like this that passes and actually doesn't impact resale as much as you'd think, because it's a short term one off and a lot of people never realise it happened...

Most second hand cars on Carsales seem to be around $80 to $90k, which is pretty good resale I think. They will probably still be fetching that in a few months when the 'old' M2s are all sold and people have to pay $120+ for a Competition...
