I live in Los Angeles and bought ours from El Paso BMW; ED MSRP. Great dealer!

It feels like some of the dealerships that are selling over MSRP has calmed down. The hype for this car might have came down just enough for dealerships to be more fair with the pricing. Good luck!

Still a fair # of cars listed on cars.com for over 60k. Only 22 new ones on there for under 60k, some of those 22 are at dealers listed on the front page so who knows if they would actually let them go for advertised price.

I flew from Bay Area CA to So Cal Irvine for one they had at the dealership and paid 1500 over sticker with the options I wanted had I configured it myself. I don't think I could have done better than that near the Bay area if I wanted a car in less than 30 days. Buying at MSRP in middle America was an option but then delivering it to me was also going to be a cost. It may have been possible to order at MSRP but it seemed all the dealers near me had a reasonably long waiting list.

The fact that the dealer in Irvine won't get any money from me taking it into to get service makes it seem more reasonable to me.

If I could do it again I think I would have called more So Cal dealers since they get more allocations and tried to get an allocation to order at MSRP... I think I could have gotten that had worked a little bit harder. Or maybe I could find a dealer in middle America with an allocation that would let me do ED at MSRP perhaps that would have been a better option.

Classic BMW of Willoughby - ~$66k, LBB/Exec/DCT/Carplay/MDP (this should MSRP for ~$60,500)... so $5500 over MSRP.

Has the "unobtanium" in LA sold yet. This is the most flagrant.

Can confirm that Valencia BMW still wants $5K over sticker. They currently have no open allocations and no one on the waitlist for their next set of allocations.

Anyone have any leads on any SoCal dealers that don't have a markup for an allocation?

Southern California dealers I dealt with in February 2017 selling M2 allocations at MSRP:
Beverly Hills BMW
Long Beach BMW

I ordered my M2 at MSRP from valencia BMW, first person I spoke to said 5k over MSRP and a $500 deposit. I called again and spoke to different SA and got it at MSRP, that was back in November. I should be receiving my M2 hopefully by May.
If you want the SA contact info let me know, I'll be more than happy to shoot that info over to anyone.

Interesting! I'll definitely PM you. The manager there said they have 5 M2's coming in within the next few weeks, but they're all spoken for. I assume one of those is yours.

Santa Monica (if pressed hard enough) will also do it - I have an allocation there waiting production

With that said, Peter Ban BMW (NorCal) is $5k over and unwilling to budge

Can we add BMW of West Houston (new LBB, manual and a few c/f bits at $69,995) and BMW of Southwest Houston (used Performance edition, unlisted miles, $65,391) to any dodgy dealer lists that are around? I know they're not Century West prices, but they're still fairly significant mark ups!

Did you purchased/leased your M2 from Irvine BMW? If so, congratulations!

I purchased mine from Irvine BMW as well. Even my cousin is the GM there, I still have to pay $5k over MSRP; took delivery around Christmas 2016.

Congrats again!
