BMW of El Cajon: selling on lot for MSRP (lots of addons though) however to order a MY18 its 5k over MSRP.

BMW of Encinitas:in stock = MSRP to order a MY18 = 5k mark up

Pacific BMW: 3k mark up across the board.

Also the guys at Encinitas told me that the reason why MY18 has a mark up and the MY17s do not is because the MY18 is more limited ..... yeah, no thanks!

"more limited" meaning they have less allocations because they couldn't sell the prior ones they marked up. Shot themselves in the feet. Serves them right if you ask me.

Unless you have fleet discount or USAA or similar basically plan on MSRP or very close.

I signed for my allocation last night at MSRP. The only slightly shady thing was a "document preparation fee" but that wasn't worth arguing over really. This was in PA.

Seems like everyone charges a 'doc fee' these days anyway. They may vary even more than this, but I've seen them anywhere from $150 to $299.

BMW takes out all fleet discount on M2 starting April 2017, so if you order 2018 MY for sure no USAA, AARP etc. The only thing you'll get is $500 BMWCCA and you have to be a member for 1yr already to get that.

Doc fee, is a way of dealer saying "shit I gave you too much of a good deal, let me get some of it back"

Corporate fleet discounts and USAA discounts aren't the same thing. I knew about BMW discontinuing the fleet discount for MY 2018 M2s but hadn't heard anything definitive yet about the USAA discount disappearing.

Where'd you get your info about the USAA discount specifically?

My local CA told me, I can't use anything on M2 right now. No employment Fleet, USA Swim team, USAA, AARP or Morgan Stanley clients.

Just like anything on the forums, verify with your CA to make sure. I came across CA who doesn't understand price increase, price protection etc. This whole thing is just crazy.

If you log in to the car buying portion of USAA you can get a code generated for the $2k off. I verified it worked with one dealer. And if you ever see an M2 on a BMW dealer website, it is listed there as well along with 3.24% BMW financing as another incentive.

If your eligible for BMW Fleet Discount and your order NOT an allocation was in the system as a Priority 1 sold unit prior to May 2nd 2017, BMW should honor the $2500 Fleet Discount. I just picked up an available allocation in New England and getting the $2500 discount. I have an email from BMW they will honor it. Even if you don't get a vehicle until next year, as long as it's in the system they should honor it.

I had my order in late March with production number and everything. Dealer refused to honor my fleet discount. Called BMWNA and they told me it was up to the dealer. I would love a copy of that email.

I guess I got lucky. I just sold my 997.2 to a friend and stopped by the dealership on a whim just to see what they had. Ive been on the list for over a year at multiple dealerships with the stipulation that I refused to pay over MSRP. Just so happened they had a guy back out on a '17 LBB M/T with exec package that I was looking for. Offered $500 under MSRP and said I would buy it on the spot. They saw me in the system with my F80 M3 and did the right thing by showing some loyalty to a long time customer. It was a refreshing change after being treated like s##t over the last year by numerous dealerships and their ludicrous markups. Just sent in my CCA rebate form so combined that got me $1000 off. Brought her home and she's sitting next to my 2002Tii in the garage, they make a good pair.

Now if I could just stay off the Dinan website and watching videos of the S2

BMWCCA discount of $1000?

Made me check BMWCCA website.
It says $500 for 2 series including the M2, 3/4 series including M3/M4 is the same. You get $1000 back when a 5/6 series, $1,500 for 7 series.

$500 off msrp + $500 CCA = $1000

There is a very, very high likelihood that M2s sitting on lots at dealers for MSRP include a bunch of MPerformance parts at full MSRP. I bought a stripper from a dealer at MSRP (plus a silly documentation fee), and added the parts I wanted, which the dealer installed for significantly less than MSRP, all in.

Not sure where you got this info but I don't think dealers can not do the factory incentive. It's from BMW not a dealership incentive/rebate/discount.
