Looks even different from the muffler on the test mules:

That front would look ok if the old one didn't exist. The new front looks less aggressive and more non-M like. I'm torn. I want the LCI 2018 model more actually but the new seats and mirrors would have been nice. Seems like a economic suicide though to go for a 2018 now. Damn these decisions....

I agree. That grill ruined the entire car and to conservative fangs. I had a feeling this would happen and fuck with my decisionmaking of which car to choose.

oddly enough... If I were to purchase a used E90 today for a commuter.. . I think the 2006 330 with a NA engine... might actually be the way to go rather than deal with HPFP and such in the 335 .

Here Is The BMW M2 Competition Leaked Ahead of Official Reveal!

What?

I like both the 2018 LCI and the 2019 comp. Didn't find the grill all that polarizing. If anything the front end looks more aggressive due to the "sharper" fangs. R.I.P. mineral grey, that would have been my choice for exterior.
Did I see correctly 404 hp and 406 tq? Small print on phone. Ball joints in rear suspension but springs and dampers are the same. 55kg heavier due to cooling hardware apparently. Those are some of the things that popped out at me.

Glad to see the M2 fixed. This is how it should have been launched two years ago. Well done BMW, listened to your customers and got it right the second try.

M bumper design went over the top, good to see a bit of tone down. More sleek and dynamic on the M2 Comp. Would be great see more classic M Understatement like reducing from four to double lefthand exhaust pipes on 6 cylinder models.

Four exhaust pipes is the correct number of exhaust pipes.

Almost 30% of the M2 Competition test mules feature the moonroof.

Thanks, good to know.

Also, is it safe to assume the optional light weight wheels will be lighter than the stock wheels?

As a 2018 M2 owner, I'm interested in the M2 Competition but am willing to wait a year for it (2019). Maybe next year the M2 CS will be announced. Definitely see myself as an M2 consumer going forward. Just accepting the depreciation of my current car as a way of life. Not letting it bother me.

Pick the M4 over any version of the M2

EDIT: Just a friendly M rivalry jibe btw
