WTF a dealer isnt going to report you. Yes, the might slash your coverage in the event of an engine failure, but you think they would call 911 or file a ticket with the DMV? I have a sport cat in California and never had an issue. No emissions testing on a new car until 6(?) years of ownership.

Sean here from Fabspeed. Take a look at the link below. Legally, a dealer cannot deny a warranty claim due to a bolt on modification. Technically, a bolt on modification such as a downpipe cannot affect engine internals.

Thanks for the information but I wasn’t talking about the vehicle warranty. We are talking about modifying the emissions which is against state law.
