M Performance Tip Options

Hi All,

Looking to zero in on which M performance exhaust tip I want as well as considering non BMW options for something a bit bigger. Any good exhaust tip pictures or info appreciated. Looking for on my Black Sapphire with a carbon diffusor but any pictures are appreciated.

I have a PE M2 which came with MPE and Ti tips. I added the cf diffuser and to me the Ti tips looked lost and didn't do it for me. I switched to OEM cf tips, I feel they look way better with the diffuser and appear or fill the cutouts better. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

Funny I feel differently about them, I like the look of the CF diffuser with the titanium tips. I feel there is way too much CF with both the diffuser and CF tips. To each their own of course and this is why options exist but just my .02 cents.

This is what I'm worried about.

Do you have pictures with either or both of the tips?

Is there any other option for tips on an MPE other than what BMW offers?

I asked this question in the CYBA tips sales thread, the guy says his tips because others with an MPE have bought them and have not complained.

Can anyone confirm any other options for tips that fit the MPE?

Here are Cyba tips with MPE. I wrapped the tips with some exhaust wrap to help control the metal on metal vibration.

Thank you.

What exactly were the tips vibrating against?

Any pictures on how far these tips stick past the rear bumper? They look good but kinda hard to tell how far they stick past.

EDIT: so looking at the last picture. Did you have to wrap the tips because they fit too loose on the outlet pipes of the MPE, and they vibrated?

The way the Cyba tips fit on is with 3 screws that sit against the MPE pipes. The vibration only occurs on cold start, it was too loud so the wrap kind of helped. The tips are also adjustable, can go out or in as much as you like.

Without the wrap I take it the CYBA tips were slightly loose when installed, which caused them to vibrate on start.

No they fit without the wrap, just the set screw would vibrate on the pipe during cold start only.

My aftermarket on MPE.

You can see the clamps from low angle but doesn't bother me. Got these from a forum member who I suspect also makes and sells. So far, works well for me for a fraction of the price of OE carbon fiber tips

Also, no cold start rattles
