Gain would be minimal, an axle back doesn't really help flow from the turbo which is the real choke point. Larger piping, straighter piping and less muffler will still barely give much. I wouldn't expect more than about 20hp out of an Akra evolution kit. Maybe 5hp from the MPE, but that still might be a stretch. It's absolute robbery for the MPE. I almost had a heart attack when I spent $361 CDN for two pieces of plastic which is my front grilles.

For the price, I'd spend it in a better place like Akra, ArmyTrix, or even Dinan. At least with these guys you'll get some sort of gains.
Very disappointing that the MPE is +>4000$ for no gains...

With how BMW describes it in the PDF you might not need to buy any tips if you don't want the CF ones. Or am I reading it wrong?

The M Performance flap exhaust system further enhances the BMW M2 visually, too, with its high-gloss silencer unit including deep-embossed M Performance logo, tailpipes with a diameter of 80 millimetres and perforated inner pipe. As an alternative there are also carbon fibre tailpipe trim elements available for the M Performance exhaust system with a diameter of 93 millimetres and integrated BMW M logo.

80 mm are the Ti tips
93 mm are the CF tips

You must be them tips, but I guess they think of the Ti pipes as the "standard" option.

Yes, I know... They make it sound like there are tips included in the PDF. Time will tell...

My understanding is the pipes are cut short, tips will be needed to have the finished end extend properly past the bumper.

For the record: excerpts from the interview with BMW representatives at SEMA 2015 regarding the M2 M Performance Exhaust:
Q: Any power gains from the M Performance Exhaust?
A: Few gains should be expected just from changing axle back exhaust on a turbocharged BMW because
1) the main restrictions are in the two catalytic converters, which are retained with an axle-back exhaust and
2) no gains should be expected without remapping the ECU because the ECU is always correcting, so for example if the car loses backpressure, the ECU will reduce power.
Q: How do valves operate on the M Performance Exhaust?
A: Valves are solely driver-controlled using an included bluetooth remote (see photo of exhaust remote from a MINI, which the M2 remote will resemble). The exhaust valves do not automatically open or close at a certain RPM.
[From Jason: the remote may come in packaging which should fit in the cupholder to act conveniently as a remote holder].
Q: Does the M2 M Performance Exhaust use the same tips as the M3/M4 MPP exhaust?
A: Yes, they are interchangeable.
(source: here)

Q: What are the technical specs on the M2 exhaust system?
A: The material is going to be stainless steel and you will be able to choose between carbon fiber tips and titanium tips. But the construction will be stainless steel for cost reasons. The tips will also be interchangeable between M3 and M4 exhaust systems. There will be no power gains with an axle-back exhaust because the turbocharged engine will compensate to create the same amount of torque. It would be different with a naturally-aspirated engine, but not with the turbocharged engine.

So based on this quote, no exhaust will make power without a tune...correct?

In my experience with turbo engines, no exhaust makes power without a tune. If you're eliminating or going with high flow cats, you absolutely need a tune or the ECU will hate life and the dash lights will let you know about it. If you're adding exhaust past the cats, no tune will really unlock extra power. I don't consider 20hp extra power on a turbo engine since its so easy to make power with FI.

This is true, but if you were to open up the ports, header and turbo, you'd see pretty decent gains even without a tune. The ECU won't pick up on the extra flow, that's not what causes the engine light, it's the lack of emission control.

Since the exhaust for most of us is going to be for aesthetics and sound, I think shopping around for best bang for our buck is the best thing we can do.

I'll end up doing a tune, but I'm not sure if I'll go crazy with JB4 or if I'll just head the Dinan route. As for now, I'm only doing look good stuff.

The steering wheel is the same as is available now, as are the pedal covers. The other two are not available yet as far as I know.

They must be in the computer I think, just wondering what the part number is for the steering wheel, because there are multiple versions and I do not know which one is for the M2. I think version 1, because it is fitted in a M car.

Version 1:

Version 2:

Ah, stupid of me... The first version has the correct CF but is a non M version. The other one is a M version but is gloss CF so not a good fit. BMW will probably release one with the new CF cover.

All of them fit the M2. "M Performance for M GmbH cars" steering wheels have the M stitching.

32 30 2 344 148
32 30 2 230 189

MP DCT gear selector (F80, but it is the same thing)
61 31 2 343 709

MP Handbrake for F22 non-M (white stitch)
34 40 2 222 538

MP Handbrake for F80 (M stitch)
34 40 2 358 363

Wrong parts though as they are gloss CF. the new parts for the M2 are open fibre as the interior.
