I had the choice between LBB and SO when I got my M2C, I like both colors but I just couldn't say no to LBB. But really, get the color you enjoy. I've colors other than my first pick before (mostly due to availability) and have regretted it.
If you like the best color (LBB) and want to get it, go for it. If you go with an inferior color, get something other than LBB |

I would have picked LBB given how nice a friend's M2 looked but given that I had it on an X4, I went with the Sunset Orange. No regrets. HS is nice and looks great in some light but doesn't stand out in my opinion. I've seen them all a time or two. Here are great shots of each. My best shot of BS isn't as close up.

Nice car! (As all of ours are, of course.) That is exactly why I love HS. I would have picked a grey had it been available, but I find how HS changes in different lights fascinating. However, the best part is that the color retains some Q-ship sensibility.

It's very subjective. I love the LBB and I have SO X1
I don't like grey cars very much. The HS is interesting because of how much it changes depending on light. But that's about it. |

My pharmacist/friend has one in HS, I asked him does people look at it? Any comments @ red lights? He said no, it's almost invisible to most people except car enthusiasts.
(Not many in the wild around home base) All my cars/trucks are in blah colors, white/black, but if I was to order a new m2c, LBB!simply because it's not my daily driver and it's a fun car (deserves) a fun color. But as a daily no F'ing way I'm driving in a circus color mon/fri So if you want attention LBB, if you want to be more under the radar then it's HS |

When I went into the dealer to see the colors, I was stuck between Sunset and LBB. I first saw the Sunset on a X1 and was underwhelmed. However, I then saw it on a 3 series and it looked sharper.
Then I walked into the main showroom. They had a M2C in LBB and I was blown away and knew this was my car. Photos just don't do it justice. That being said, I also saw HS and was surprised with how nice it looked in person. I'm not usually a silver guy but that color looked amazing on it, especially with how it changes colors when you walk around it! If you have an opportunity, highly suggest getting into a dealer to see for yourself. But, all in all...I don't think you can go wrong.

LBB is absolutely a great color. Its an attention grabber for sure, so if you like that, then get the LBB.

I love color on cars. I'm not usually a fan of white or silver or grey. My GT3 is birch green and my RS is Miami blue. I've had orange, red, and yellow cars before too. When I decided on getting an M2 competition I was disappointed at the color selection. I narrowed it down to LBB and HS. I saw both in person. The LBB was cool, but was a little too green for me in certain lights. I saw the HS in the dark and thought it looked like Porsche Chalk color then drove it out in the sun and it was pearly metallic silver. The main reason I chose HS was that this car was to be my DD. It still attracts so much attention though. I like carbon fiber bits too and the CF stuff really contrasts well with the silver. Like others have said, the LBB reminds me of the OG M2 and HS is associated with M2 Competition. I still think the coolest colors are LBB and SO. Sometimes I think I want to keep my DCT HS and buy a manual SO to thrash at the track in addition! Lol.

I have HS here. My favorite part is that it is on the subtle side of things until you actually start looking at it. I think understated is overused, but it leans that way.
When I told friends/family I was getting HS, they all kind of rolled their eyes and thought it was "boring"...until the car showed up. Then every single person changed their tune and "couldn't believe how cool the color is". The multi-color/tone is definitely a contributor to their reaction. It also compliments the black, CF, and car lines extremely well in person. Obviously, it won't "pop" like LBB and SO, but it is certainly full of character in its own way. I think seeing it in person makes a difference - but again you have to be going for that kind of look. |

Got LBB twice (OG M2, then M2C). There's tons of black, silver and white cars on the road already. IMHO, this is a fun sports car that deserves a nice bright color.

I like silver M cars but HS is just too white for me. Really happy with my LBB.
It's obviously a personal choice and no one is wrong on this.

LBB is certainly an attention grabber, and if I was keeping mine for 2-3 years I may have gone for it. I keep mine long term so LBB may have gotten old after a bit.
HS is no slouch. Just yesterday, I was out for a drive with windows down, and a beautiful blonde lady in a RR pulls up next to me and tells me how she loves the color of my M2. That's the kind of attention I need Too bad my daughter was riding shotgun... |

Every time I see your set-up with those silver wheels I like it more. I think those silver wheels would look great with a black M2C as well. . . and I'm a guy who tends to be drawn exclusively to black wheels and accents on my sport/sporty vehicles. Regarding LBB, I think it's nice online and under certain light in-person, but it's tendency to take on a teal hue in certain light is what turned me off to the color. Regardless, my color taste is only important to me. ///AVM |

I didn’t think that LBB looked nearly as good as the estriol blue on my M235i. I really like my AW with all the M Performance Carbon parts. It makes a great contrast.

The F87 has a great styling and I don't think from aesthetic point of view there ever has been a wrong color for it till this day.
LBB/SO pop while black/white/silver/grey go under the radar a bit. They all can work best depends where and when you use them. As a LBB owner, I do think the color a bit too loud as a daily commuter in a professional setting. But everywhere else it just shines and get more compliments (=SO>>white=silver=black) and makes me feel a 20 year old again. Between two loud colors - LBB shows its best in the outside and with no direct sun. Exposure to sunshine, SO works better. Black/white/silver colors are more versatile under all circumstances. Here is a none edited shot I took today at the office parking lot, which reflect the color indoor well.
