I don't think you can say that yet, because the equipment and specification levels vary by country. Even if it turns out to be true, that's still more than a 10% increase from the LCI when it was introduced.

UPDATE: Where did you get the $59,000? My currency converter says $47,260 British Pounds converts to $67,377 USD and 58,278 Euros.
The picture was blurry so I assumed it was Euro. I used Google exchange rate and what I had gotten was $58,278.54. I just rounded it off... Did I miss something ?

First, we don't know the awesome price other than what one magazine says it is.
Second, I'm not hating on anything. With all the hype around here and soon to come from BMW, I just expected better numbers.

No, but you said $59,000 US - not Euros. The number is irrelevant at this point anyway, because the specifications and taxes will vary a lot by country.

Not sure if any of the following is news, but these are things I picked out:

404bhp, 406lb ft.
Manual or DCT.
Weight up by 55kg due to engine cooling changes.
Steel track brakes available - 6 piston with 400mm discs front, 4 piston with 380mm discs rear.
M4 style Carbon strut brace.
Ball jointed suspension.
M sports seat with illuminated logo.
Basic price in UK £47,260 (compared to current price of £46,695), available from July.

So, seems like a bit of a bargain!

Surprised to see it wieghs more than an Audi RS3. Will be interested in that additional 122lbs (most likely all applying to the front engine) changing how the car feels? Also, if options increase or lower weight? Is the additional 55kg a direct comparison no optioned 6MT vs no optioned 6MT?
Yes, the weight of this car is Crazy, to heavy!! More as an AWD Audi with adaptative suspension as well this M2 C will not be so awesome... for sur less as the expectations here..
Thanks to the small Price Jump, the sell-value of the current M2 N55 will drop significantly.

You're right, it was just a rough estimate based on the magazine figures. And options and "market adjustment" would add a lot more to the sticker anyway.

Exactly, mentioned this earlier.

This thing is a complete bargain. Leaves a lot of room to add the new options.

He is wrong, it is going to be cheaper than that.

It is simple, you can reverse engineer all the UK vs US prices. Just figure the % increase. Works for the all models, gives a very close estimation. Forum has been doing it this way for years, because UK always gets these cars first.

Now who wants an almost brand spanking new MGM 2018 M2 with 350 miles on the clock and full front Xpel Ultimate film for a huge discount?
I will be GREATLY shocked if the base price doesn't move at least $5,000usd.

My guess is $7,500 uptick.

I will bet $7500 that the MSRP will not go up by $7500. Who (trustworthy) will hold the money?

Well, I think you need to prepare yourself to be shocked.

The only way for this to be true now. Is if EVO price is wrong.

I'll hold it - but unless either of you hits your number to the exact dollar, I get to keep the $7,500. Deal?

You'll keep $15,000 then.

That seems fair.

I'd say $4,500+ over base, $5k options, won't be readily available so also dealer mark-up of $5k+ as well. Easy $70k car and when it's widely available it's Supra time haha! (yes, I'm hating!!)

Magazines usually are not that far off. However when I traded my civic M4, for my M4 with ZCP, I think that option was $5,150?

So the M2 competition isn't an "option"... but a refreshed car... you still get way more with that, then the upgrades on the M4.

That's the part I'm having trouble with (pricing wise).

Looks like it got stability control retuning, like the M3/M4 CS models.
