Yikes. All 3 of my cars might be recalled depending on affected Vin.

takata is a shitty company, I know this is old news but I'm still baffled. They should no longer exist.

Actually, E92/E92 3 Series are included. This language used by C&D:

2007–2013 3-series and M3 coupe and convertible

Could more clearly be written:

2007–2013 3-series coupe/convertible and M3 coupe/convertible

Because the F30 is a sedan and the recall only covers 3 Series sedans through MY2011.

FML another recall eh? Think that ups the total to four for my E88.

This'll be the first time it's been to an actual BMW dealer in about half a decade hah!

It will likely take some time for their database to be updated...

The passenger airbag occupancy sensor failed about 4 months ago on my 2007 Z4 M Roadster. BMW is replacing them through 2006 only, and told me too bad when I contacted them. This sucks in my opinion

Usually takes a month or so for it to show up on DCS and on that link -

So now I have to get this handled on my E46 and my E90... I'm glad the Fxx are not affected.

Here are the factory recall notices, FYI:

This also means that dealerships can not sell any new or pre-owned cars without performing this recall beforehand. I suspect a parts shortage will follow.

Jesus, what rock have you been under! :

I wish I could know what supplier provided the airbag for my '14 320 and if it's just a matter of TIME before any car with a Takata bag using the questionable propellant is recalled!

Noticed a sweeping recall of Mercedes models, but strangely enough the GLK was one of few models NOT recalled... Comforting, somewhat since I DD one.

Does anyone know if a possible reason for the recall, in addition to pieces of metal, etc., was due to airbags deploying inadvertently? Has anyone read or heard that? Just curious.

Waiting for the letter. I bet it takes at least 6 months to a year for this to play out and meanwhile it makes hard to trade the car in.
