My M2 Competition video review!

After seeing other reviews I thought I'd do my own! I hoped to add some insight to people looking to get the Competition and perhaps point out something new to existing owners. Video work not too glamorous yet, but I'm working on it!

I look forward to doing another video highlighting some mods and details on the car prospective owners would like to see.

Hope you enjoy it, suggestions welcomed!

The shiny black trim is triggering me, I prefer the dry carbon myself. The gas mileage might be better once you have more miles on the car.

You're welcome. I also added the tire pressure screen on another button.

Not at all! I was intentionally mashing it a bit to get more of the sound and feel of the car on video. Nevertheless, same driving style with the OG M2 resulted in several MPG better. In fact, probably shifting even later more often with a manual.

If you look closely, I've swapped all the door trim with polished carbon fiber. The dash trim will be coming off next.

Why do you think the Germans believe the US citizens require a compass reading on the rear view mirror?! Are they taking the Michael? 😁😜

I never understood why, but a lot of American cars have it, too. Ford I think had them across almost all models at one point.

I really enjoyed the "fact of the matter" approach of the video, minus all the pizzazz and voice inflections to sound like Richard Hammond that other videos have.

Well done and thanks for the insights! Makes me yearn for my car even more.

This is great, thanks for taking the time to do this!

I much prefer owner reviews to the billions of YT reviews out there.

Quick question..... is it possible to order an M2C with 437Ms instead of the 788Ms as a no cost option?

Nice presentation and review, tnx.

Good point on the return to center steering.

I programmed all my radio buttons at delivery. I only learned of this after spending some time with the BMW Genius associate.

The trend I've seen with my prior cars is if the car you buy does not have navigation, you get a compass instead ...and vice versa.
Does OP's car have nav?

Standard in US on this model.

All of my previous 3 series had it, all were without nav.

ryem3, about 05:56: alike on many other modern day BMW M cars, the original M2 also features Brembo brakes.

Your remarks about reduced fuel range: you had an N55 M2 6MT and moved on to an S55 M2C M-DCT: apart from a more thirsty engine layout (with extra 40hp & higher CO2 emission values), as regards weight, that's an 80 kg jump (25 kg difference for the transmission + remember the joke that for the M2C 'S55' also may stand for 'Supplementary 55 kg').
