...just to realize how much CH was enthusiast about the M2 and comparison with the 1M ... which I thought was one of the best review about the M2 car... (and I look at all reviews also in French)... well, what to say about the M2C review... ...frustrating... why... we (M2C future owners) like to dream about our future car before and after we buy it ... once we have it... then we know and we forget what CH said... ...during reviews we like to be told the car is beautiful (it is), the new added engine and features are great (they are), the price is a bargain (it is) and that we made the best choice ever to buy the M2C even if our wife like better the new Lexus Hybrid SUV... ... but CH forgot... to me he is now paid to drift and to tell how the car drifts ... and this is what he does ... and if its good enough for the filming production it is not for me (seems not for a lot of gents on this forum actually) ... |

Could it be that the parts are new vs worn? Not sure how many kms you had on the OG struts.

I've noticed that this car CH is driving and all the other press cars up to this point and are fitted with the uprated M Sport Brakes (Silver).
I have yet to see a Competition with blue brake calipers.. Anyone have any photos or spot this arrangement? |

Why didn't you feel the need to upgrade to the M Sport ? Not necessary? |

Along same argument, how some keep saying 1M with 5-6 year old suspension is better than brand new M2 or M2C (with brand new suspension/struts etc) in terms of handling. |

I'm wondering if a normal driver can feel the different braking power of BBK as well as the increased unsprung weight

What a great way to destroy a perfectly good set of rubber.
Chris Harris is always amazingly fun to watch. VV not so much.

Nice to hear a journalist be “sniffy” about the added weight and the power to weight ratio being considered.
The Ascari reviews at The BMW Launch - seemed to skip right over that issue. For those of us hoping for a 3300lb CS/CSL model, the new attainable benchmark is the OG’s 3450lbs. Again, I am not bashing the M2C, just highlighting the disappointment in the spec of this car being heavier than anticipated. |

Significantly: in a sufficiently great or important way as to be worthy of attention. Pretty sure most people outside the M2 forums wouldn't claim all of these are "significant" changes outside of the engine. Maybe "minor" or"subjectively" is a more appropriate word for some of these? But I digress, the M2C is an updated M2, if it wasn't "better" BMW would be in trouble. But since we're being ridiculous, I decided to create my own significant list... OGM2 • Significantly better sounding • Significantly better looking rear end (no cow udder muffler) • Significantly less unibrow • Significantly better looking wheels • Significantly less weight • Significantly less weight up high (no sunroof option) • Significantly more affordable (MSRP and fuel economy) • Significantly more comfortable front seats. |

Sound, wheels, unibrow.... it's all significantly subjective M2C is an improved M2 with a real M engine, real M seats, real M mirrors, hard to accept but it's the truth If the OG M2 was still for sale, i bet nobody would prefer it to the Competition.

Now, if the M2 was priced at 2016 or 2017 pricing, that'd be an interesting comparison...the original M2 was a bargain M car, but is now it's fairly close to an M3 in price. |
